Excellent location in the old city of Split. All major attractions were easily accessible on foot. The room was clean with all essential amenities and looked elegant. The bathroom was a decent size and convenient. The beds were comfortable which helped us to get restful sleep after a long day.

We hired the shuttle for an airport pickup, we would highly recommend this as he dropped us off quite a distance from the hotel as it is walk in only. The hotel staff met us at the car and walked us back to the hotel. We arrived at midnight and I know there is no way we would have found the hotel otherwise. It feels quite sketchy in the dark but we had a different feel in the morning. Nice breakfast and the staff are lovely. we were wondering how we were going to get picked up in the morning for our cruise but the cruise staff walked to our hotel as you can not drive to it.

We had an apartment in the annex that was in a great location near the harbor in an old part of Split. The apartment was in an older building and had been remodeled and was very clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Great location. We had the duplex suite sea view, good room with a view of the port, very clean, good shower, great Aircon! Ana, Mijo and the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help with whatever queries or questions we had. Would recommend.

Booked a room in the annex, didn't realise it was a 5 min walk from the main hotel and up loads of stairs! Basic room but clean very noisy but I expect most rooms are in the old town.

Excellent stay in Hotel Kastel 1700. Perfect location, with harbour view in what was once a corner tower of Diocletian’s Palace. Clean, comfortable room, with nice spacious shower and good firm mattress. Noise from outside was no problem with windows closed. Great breakfast selection, with lots of fresh fruit available. Entrance is a bit difficult to find, around the back. Would recommend airport pick-up, as cabs are much more expensive. Would stay here again.

Cute hotel on the south west corner of the very famous palace, right on the waterfront and where the action is. Had a beautiful sea view from my room. Very friends welcome. Mio took my bags up 3 flights of stairs!

Amazing location, lovely staff 100% recommended

This small hotel is in the perfect location right in the heart of the old town but overlooking the main seafront with restuarants, bars and views right outside the door. The rooms are not huge, but very comfy beds and pillows and the views are amazing. All the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, loaned me €20 when I didn’t have my bank card. Also arranged a taxi and walked us 500m to the meeting point as it was tricky to find, would definitely recommend.

Hotel was in a different location than expected. We had thought we would have a sea view but ended up walking back into the town to a separate building which is where our room was located. We had to walk up 4 flights to our room which was nice, roomy, comfortable. Thankfully the person who checked us in carried our suitcase up the stairs and was very very nice. All in all a nice spot but clarity on actual location would have been helpful.
