3BR/2BA Upper Apartment in Historic District St. Augustine
Summary: Family-friendly St. Augustine apartments in Downtown Historic District, walk to St. George Street Premier Host 5-Star Ratings: This property and location has been loved by many and has continuously received 5-star reviews throughout the years. Located within walking distance (really is only a 7 minute walk to historical downtown shoppes and sites!!!), this beautiful place maintains a pristine level of quality and care with professionally excellent housecleaning and maintenance services. As my guest, I present you with a very clean stay and a highly maintained place so as to provide you comfort, ease, and a peace of mind. When I travel, I look for a place that is clean (if I didn’t say that enough already), not full of other’s personal belongings, is not full of cheap furniture and scant appliances to “just get by”, and feels CLEAN. I want appliances that are nice and up-to-date for happy function and flow. I want an alarm system that doesn’t have me keep up with a key and keeps my belongings safe. I want a place that not only looks nice but is constructed and designed with high quality in mind. I want to feel like I’m on a special vacation every time so that the money I spend is worth the stay. If you like these things, come on in and make yourself at home. I love to host, and you will feel special in my place.
LISTING NOTE: This 3BR/2BA apartment is the upstairs unit of the duplex with a living area, dining area, and a balcony with seating for 6. This unit does NOT allow pets. The downstairs unit (VRBO #1893692) has the same basic layout and allows for up to 2 dogs, less than 50lbs for $250 fee. Both units can be rented together, so if you have a large group of up to 12 persons, see VRBO property #1906524 to make your reservation. PARKING: Each unit allows for only 3 vehicles for private parking behind the building behind the designated unit’s gate. If renting both units, a max of 6 vehicles are allowed in the back for private parking. One of the desirable parts of this property is the private parking. This is because parking can be a challenge to find in St. Augustine within the neighborhoods and in the historical district near shops and restaurants; thus, the parking on the property is an attractive part for guests who soon find that mostly everything in the historic district is within very close walking distance.
YOUR HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME – Unit 2 (Upstairs Apartment):
THE AREA: Located in a quiet residential area, the property is an easy 7-minute walk from the town square (Plaza de la Constitution) and 5 from the architecturally impressive Flagler College (formerly the posh Hotel Ponce de Leon built by Henry Flagler in the late-19th Century), just 4 minutes from the beautiful new sea wall along the Intracoastal Waterway near the city marina and only a minute from the serene setting of Lake Maria Sanchez (originally a creek which was dredged in order to fill in the wetlands on which Flagler's hotel would be constructed) and the historically significant Lincolnville neighborhood, and directly between the First Congregation Sons of Israel Jewish Synagogue (across the street to the east) and the Greater St Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church (on Washington Street, with their parking area bordering our property to the west).
THE HOUSE: The duplex was built in 2006, and both of the 3BR/2BA approximately 1500 sq ft apartments were almost totally renovated with the comfort and enjoyment of vacation rental Guests in mind. For many Guests, a main drawing point will be that you can just park your car and walk to most of the popular tourist attractions, bars and restaurants – or just take a casual stroll, jog, or bike ride through some of the most peaceful and beautiful residential areas of our wonderful city. Because parking can be a a challenge in this beautiful area, this duplex is in a very convenient and desirable location for guests.
THE OUTSIDE: The first things you will likely notice about the property are the well-kept landscape and the red paver driveways on either side of the building. The driveways lead around the building to a large uncovered gravel parking area in the rear where each unit has dedicated space for up to 3 standard-size vehicles (18 ft max). The outside sitting area for this unit is on the balcony above the front porch (where the entrances to both units are located) and has seating for six along with a small table. The east-facing balcony is perfectly suited for enjoying your coffee in the morning sun or evening beverage in the shade, and generally watching the world and the occasional horse-drawn carriage go by on Cordova Street.
THE LIVING ROOM: The stairway up to the second-floor unit opens to a hallway leading to the dining area and kitchen, as well as to the bedrooms and living room. The spacious living room looks out onto the quiet residential street through two large east- and north-facing windows and provides access to the balcony. This room offers two comfortable sofas, an over-stuffed chair and another chair with total seating for 8 persons, and is a perfect space for planning the day's activities, watching a movie, or relaxing with a book.
THE KITCHEN & DINING AREA: I am confident that my Guests (especially those who love to cook and eat) will enjoy the brand new kitchen where two can easily work side-by-side. The new cabinets and granite counter-top, the new French-door cabinet-depth frig and new (and very quiet) Bosch dishwasher, and the new stainless-steel stove and microwave, as well as other counter-top appliances and all the necessary pots and pans are sure to please the most demanding cooks. The adjacent dining area with seating for 6 is the best place to enjoy your breakfast as you and the members of your group bask in the morning Florida sunshine flowing through the large east- and south-facing windows. And although there are many fun, tasty, and romantic places to eat in St Augustine, we are sure that most of our Guests will appreciate the flexibility of enjoying a fine or family-style meal in your home-away-from-home.
THE BEDROOMS, BATHROOMS & LAUNDRY: All three bedrooms are quite large and comfortable, from the Master (12+ft x 14+ft) with a King bed and en-suite bathroom, to the Guest Bedroom (with a Queen bed and direct access to the Guest Bathroom) and 3rd Bedroom (with a day bed that pulls out as two side-by-side Twins and access to the Guest Bathroom through the hallway) each at 12+ft x 13+ft. All bedrooms have new flooring and ample space for clothing and luggage, but perhaps the best part is that they overlook the parking area to the back of the building which is almost totally shielded from the neighboring property by a line of tall trees and other foliage, along with a 6 ft shadow-box wood fence with knee-wall. This makes for an excellent privacy barrier and gives the feeling of living in a downtown enclave. Both bathrooms include new vanities and toilets and large showers, and the laundry room is outfitted with a washer and dryer.
ENTERTAINMENT AND CONNECTIVITY: The apartment is served by cable TV (with 200+ channels), high-speed Internet (up to 50 Mbps) with WiFi, and an Internet-based phone system. I’ve provided a 50+inch flat-screen Smart TV in the living room. Air-conditioned accommodations at this apartment offer DVD players and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to balconies. Kitchens or kitchenettes offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include showers and hair dryers.
The Space: You'll have the entire apartment (upper unit) to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
The Neighborhood: Located in St. Augustine, this apartment is in the city center. St. George Street and Aviles Street are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore St. Augustine Beach and Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve.
Bayfront Carpet Golf and St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum are also worth visiting. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including birdwatching, motor boating, and winery tours.

Close to everything
We had a great time. Walking distance to all restaurants and things to do. This place was great. Everything you need for your stay. We stayed for twelve days. If you choose to cook they have all the supplies needed for making meals. I really enjoyed the balcony. Very nice neighborhood. The off street parking is a plus.We ate out all days. Never ate at the same place twice. The home is very secure and has a security system. For us it’s one of the top notch VRBO’s we’ve stayed in!
The property was absoutley perfect for our weekend in St. Aug. It had absolutely everything we needed and the location was the best part! We were able to walk downtown and to the college in minutes. The hosts were amazing, attentive and very accommodating to us from check in to check out. I would highly recommend this property to others and will definitely be back myself.

In the center of it all
This property is in a great location. We walked to all the main attractions in St. Augustine. Down the block is a large lake for an evening stroll in a great neighborhood. The property felt secure. You can park your cars in the back, behind gates. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances are top notch. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you making the second part of our New Year’s vacation just as great as the first part. Diana R, Miami, FL

Beautiful home in a great location!
This home was just beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked, as were the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect - quiet and away from the heavy traffic but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants.
We recently stayed at this fantastic house during a girl's getaway. It exceeded our expectations
The location was great close to everything in the historic district. It was impeccably clean and decorated beautifully. Everything you could want all appliances dishes linens were there. The hosts were very receptive to our emails and any inquiries we had. I would not hesitate to go back and spend a few more days here.

Perfect Location!
We visited St. Augustine for my son's graduation from Flagler College. First, the location is perfect for enjoying everything St. Augustine offers. We used the spacious parking area to park our cars all weekend long. We walked to St. George Street and enjoyed a great meal at Forgotten Tonic. We also had graduation dinner at Cap's on the Water, a great place to catch the sunset. We stayed in the upstairs unit, which had all of the latest amenities and more! We didn't go to the beach, but they even had a beach bag ready for guests. This place is perfect for a large family with three bedrooms and two baths. The upstairs also has a balcony where we enjoyed late-night drinks and early-morning coffee. Thank you for helping make this the best trip ever!

Lovely place, lovely hosts
This was our first stay at a VRBO, and I couldn’t have been more pleased! The hosts were lovely: polite, professional, and helpful. They made sure to check in and ensure that we were happy with everything. The apartment was spacious and cozy. Marie, the owner, thought of everything you may want or need: books, movies, and a full cabinet of dishes, glasses, and coookware-even beach chairs should you venture out to the water! The location was excellent-within walking distance to quite a bit. If it wasn’t, it wasn’t a problem- we just drove because we had a parking space available at the apartment. (A huge plus in this area) Best of all, it was a pet friendly property which allowed us to include our pup in the fun. Overall, it was a great place to stay with a highly responsive host and team. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!

Five of us stayed for a long weekend. The upstairs unit was quiet and we felt safe. The unit had everything we needed- including parking. We walked everywhere. The location was perfect - close to the action but not too close. Marie was very accessible and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location behind the Lightner Museum
We had a terrific stay at this property that is one block behind the Lightner Museum. We attended a wedding and this could not be a better location. Besides a great location, the house was impeccably clean, gorgeous kitchen that was well stocked, washer and dryer if needed and the owner was extremely responsive to all our inquiries. The VRBO came with three (3) parking spaces which are like gold in St. Augustine.
The house is PERFECTLY located--literally a 4 minute walk to get to King Street which is the main road in Old St Augustine. If you have to attend an event at the Lightner--this is the place to stay. It is in a quiet neighborhood but unbelievably close to everything in St. Augustine.
We were extremely pleased with the accommodations and all the amenities. We had unit 2 on the 2nd floor which also included a outdoor porch with seating for seven. There is a living room that has two sofa and a lounge chair. There were TVs, videos and books in the house but we never used them since we were always busy. This place definitely earned its 5 star designation and next time in St. Augustine we will definitely book this property.
