Spend fall and winter in St. Aug & experience the incredible Nights of Lights (within walking distance)! The Urban Cottage dates back 100+ years and was lovingly updated with modern conveniences while still maintaining its original charm. Walking distance to downtown St. Augustine and St. George Street and a short drive to the beach, the cottage is in the heart of the Ancient City and can be your home away from home while exploring.

The living area is bright and sunny with a smart TV and ample, cozy seating. Each bedroom has room darkening shades or curtains and brand new mattresses and beds. Bedroom 1 is large and has a comfortable queen size bed. There is also plenty of room to assemble the portable crib (located in the bedroom closet). Bedroom 2 has a comfortable queen size bed and a dedicated work space with desk and chair. These two bedrooms share one bathroom that has a shower / bear claw tub. Bedroom 3 is across the hall and has twin size beds. The room currently used as a dining space can be easily transformed into a 4th bedroom with a deluxe queen air mattress (and doors for privacy) - with the 2nd bathroom with a shower steps away.

The kitchen is updated and fully-stocked with a keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, hot tea kettle, toaster, crockpot, blender, Brita water pitcher, and more. Just off the kitchen, you'll find a room currently used as a dining space with seating for 6. The 2nd bathroom and shower are just off the kitchen. There is a full-size washer and dryer located off the kitchen.

You can enjoy your morning coffee on the large wraparound porch. The cottage also has a fully fenced in back yard for your pre-approved pets (up to 2). There is plenty of off-street parking: two cars can fit in the side driveway inside the gate and one car can fit in just in front of the gate.

Note: The cottage sits adjacent to a fairly busy street which means there will be urban hustle and traffic noice during certain times of the day. We provide a sound machine in the front bedroom and disposable earplugs. However, if you are a light sleeper or noise adverse, this cottage might not be for you.

Was not a good location. Scary people in yard, drinking and smoking and wanting money.

We are 3 older people 83, 78, 76. Property was clean, had to call lady twice to get in, once in all the people in back yard starting hollering for money. We were scared and left. Called the lady and ask for refund, she did not want to talk to me. We had to stay in a motel for 7 days and she still will not talk to me about a refund. Very dis appointed. I would not recommend her or her place. We did not stay went to a motel for 7 days, went home early.

Clean and spacious cottage

The cottage was perfect for our mini vacation in St. Augustine. There was 5 adults in our group and we had plenty of room. It would definitely sleep the 8 it is advertised. We appreciated the off street parking behind a gated fence. It is close to many area attractions. The house was well supplied with everything we needed to be fully functional. We wanted for nothing. The only thing i believe one needs to consider strongly is that you are close to the hwy and you will definitely hear busy street noise. This did not deter us from enjoying our stay.

Adorable house with the most helpful hostess ever!

We stayed for a family wedding and the place was so adorable and just the right size for 5! Yvonne was so helpful answering questions and helping us with everything we needed. The only challenge was the location which is behind a gas station on a busier street. It was a bit loud, light sleepers could have trouble. Yvonne was a great hostess and accommodated all our changes and needs with ease! Would not hesitate to stay at a house of hers again!

It's about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown from this recently renovated house in a transitional neighborhood. It was clean and roomy and comfortable, and the host allowed free early check-in and responded quickly to a couple of random questions.

Great gettaway - be prepared to drive or walk

The house is roomy, exceptionally clean, and just oh so nice. It is an old home but the kitchen and baths are new. Everything is nice and clean from the bedding to the silverware and there are lots of cute little touches. There is a train across the road which my children appreciated so much. It is a little bit of a walk to downtown but is totally doable. I think it took us about 15 minutes. I appreciate the water filter, the good knives, the coffee makers ( 2 types ), and the washing machine detergent. We would definitely go there again.

Great space, very communicative host

Yvonne was a great host! She was super accommodating and communicative with us throughout the entire process. Her house was beautiful and super clean and cute. Me and my six friends fit very comfortably in this house. The location is right next to a gas station if that makes you uncomfortable but it was roughly a 10 minute drive to the beach/pier and a mile walk to the downtown area. We really enjoyed our stay!
