This was one of my several visits to St. Augustine in the last 10 years. I am a returning customer, had good experiences on my previous stays, including the last one. The room was, as on my previous visits, clean and tidy, the staff was pleasant and attentive (especially the female receptionist who checked me in). We usually do not use amenities.

Price was great, free parking, breakfast was good, the staff was wonderful and the beds and pillows were comfortable.The room had some stains on the walls and door but definitely normal wear and tear as they were a little outdated but no foul odors or issues with the room. The hotels exterior ,pool area, dog park and playground were very well kept and clean.

We stayed two nights at Smart Stay Inn St. Augustine and overall had a great experience. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The hotel is pet friendly and the buffet breakfast was a nice bonus. The fitted sheet had a few stains at first, but the staff quickly replaced it with a clean one. One small challenge was breakfast if you’re alone with your pet, since pets aren’t allowed in the dining area. Overall, a pleasant stay and we would return.
