I could not get a dog room on the first floor of the motel. Later found out that half the floor was still being renovated. So for a 20 Dollar pet charge we would be on the second floor. My 10 month old puppy got freaked out by the open steps and refused to go up to our room. She was not budging up those stairs, so she had to sleep in the car all by herself. I didn’t come back to see if push came to shove if I could get a first floor room, because I had already carried mine and the dog stuff up the stairs. I was tired and frustrated so I slept in the room upstairs. I got up to walk her the next morning. I couldn’t take a shower as she wouldn’t let me leave her again.

Some of the staff are great. The women who checked us in was very passively rude. I’ve stayed here three separate times. Usually have great experiences with staff but the first interaction was disappointing. Rooms been recently renovated and are nice appreciate that. The beds are not very comfortable but are okay. Breakfast is good loved the options. Decent for what you pay for.

My room was spotless. The Front Desk clerk was very pleasant and extremely helpful. It was nice to be able to have a sofa in the room rather than an extra bed. And there were three restaurants in the parking lot.

We arrived late at night and were told that the room we booked was not available. The hotel put us in a different room, but then informed us that the pet fee was $50 instead of the $25 stated on their website. We were told we could cancel the reservation if we didn’t like it, but given the late hour, we had no real choice. The extra sheets provided in the closet for the sofa bed were covered in hair, which was very disappointing. Breakfast was also one of the worst we’ve experienced—there was no working coffee machine, which made it even more frustrating. Overall, the stay did not meet expectations, and the experience felt poorly managed.

Ironically I booked this specifically for the amenities, which were quite underwhelming. The free breakfast was terrible (waffle undercooked, English muffins were rock hard), laundry machine ate my quarters (front staff did replace them, to their credit), and hot tub was a little scary looking (albeit relaxing). Bed not great, also the road noises were loud. The great ratings in this had me expecting something more, to my dismay.

When we found out we were on the second floor we asked to be switched to a first floor room. We were told no, not given any reason and we knew from the cars in the mornings and walking past rooms that they could have switched us. We tried popping popcorn in the microwave and the noises it made sounded like it was going to blow up. We tried to discontinue using it but it wouldn't shut off until the time was done. We had to call the front desk to find out where breakfast was served because they didn't tell us when we checked in. The breakfasts were bland and dry and there was no fruit offered so we went out for our breakfasts. When entering the room it took several times to get the door to open. After the second time using the key card it wouldnt work so we had to go back to the front office to get new cards. When we told them about the difficulty opening the door ee were told to pull on the door before using the card to unlock it. The room also smelled funky and needed to be aired out and freshened.
