Checking in was efficient. The floor cleaning was lacking. Candy wrappers on floor near bed, hair on bathroom floor. Rustic lodge decor was tired, worn and dusty in some areas. Breakfast was provided and basic but good.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Cute lodge feel decor. We had a balcony room that overlooked the pretty outdoor area w Koi pond and nice sitting area. Only real negative was sub-par service in the bar area.

There were ants all in the room and we paid for one of the theme suites which is almost a $400 room and I did get a discount on it because I used your site through hotels.com so that was good but they did not offer to give us the equal exchange of a room to have a room that was not full of ants or reimburse the difference of a cheaper room. I had one of the hotel staffs call me and say that they would pay for the stay since they could not get us into an equal room equal value. But then they did not even do that. I won't be going back. I've been going to stoney Creek for 4 years now. This would be my last visit

Pleasantly surprised

The first time I've stayed at a Stoney Creek. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by them. The place was clean, they had a great pool that was indoor and outdoor. I wished I had a swim suit. They have a bar with some food there, pizzas, wings and appetizer types of food. Their breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel. The only thing I didn't like was the bed was too soft for my taste. I woke up with a sore back, but that's just me. I will definitely stay at one of these again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The VIP room upgrade and complimentary drinks were appreciated. The decor was interesting, from the ten foot tall wooden bear outside the door to the many nautical touches in our suite. The room was large and the bed, couch, and reclining chair were comfortable.
