Little getaway

Too many ramps/stairs! Breakfast was dine in only...no taking your breakfast back to your room. Did not care for being told where to sit in breakfast area. Parking was confusing at first. Instead of explaining how the parking worked we were made feel like we thought we were too good to park our own car which is not the case at all!!! Hotel could do a better job explaining their parking rules, etc. up front to avoid so much confusion. When trying to unload luggage the front of the hotel is on a steep hill and is dangerous ... possible rollaway cart!!!! And did mention...??? if you want a view, ask to not be assigned Room 202!!! (Wonder if that was our punishment for not understanding parking rules??) The pool needs a lot of work and very few outside lounge chairs. Stayed in St. Louis area many times. Have never stayed here and would not recommend to family and friends.

Fun family getaway

Our hotel room was extremely clean. Both the shower and bath were a standout, I let my daughter take a bath in the tub- which never happens at a hotel. The king bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning made it even better. Friendly staff, always helping us with a smile.

This was definitely a surprise! We pulled up at the hotel and noticed that the outside was a little dirty so I was a little concerned, however, once we walked in, it was pristine! Beautiful place to stay.

Good hotel with helpful staff.

Good hotel in a good location. Pleasant and helpful staff all around. Building is clean, but could use a refresh. Beds were adequate. Breakfast buffet is fine. Reading lights and room safe were not in working order.

The Clayton Plaza is in a great area and the breakfasts are fantastic. I go there often, but the last time I was put in a shabby room. I'm not sure why that was because they have plenty updated rooms and it didn't seem particularly busy.

Accommodations were fine. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Have issue with check-in staff smelling of marijuana. We also have 2 expensive pairs of sunglasses 'missing'. We had to keep our luggage in the storage closet before our room was ready....and haven't seen the sunglasses since we put them in there.
