Tornado event

We were there when the tornado hit, no power; the hotel closed. The service provided getting us out of the 3rd floor with lots of stuff was remarkable! We were not impressed with the breakfast, too many people, too little food.

The room and the front desk were wonderful. Very helpful when I needed something extra. The breakfast was however low quality... no hot/protein breakfast (which I have usually had at HI Express). Only sweets and packaged food with cold boiled eggs. Disappointed in breakfast; all else was good.

i booked this hotel expecting the modern/updated holiday inn express i’ve stayed in elsewhere and the description indicated this was an IHG updated hotel. the hotel was actually under construction when i was there, and the elevators were “closed” for some period of time at the end of my stay. the complementary breakfast isn’t good. however, the shower and bathroom were super nice, so that made the stay more comfortable for me and brought the stars back up.
