Four pleasant nights in St. Louis

we were in the St. Louis area for a wedding but stayed a few extra days so we could see old friends. The hotel is in a convenient, suburban area near restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater. A thoroughly safe area but not very walkable. The hotel is modern, well decorated, clean with two restaurants and a bar inside. Checkin was fine. The room was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated with nice sheets and towels and all the amenities you expect. We have stayed here before and will again.

We stayed at the hotel for the intention to get away for a night, specifically requesting late check out. Hotel was fine, clean, etc. However, someone decided to fire up what sounded like a power washer at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning right outside our window. After about 40 minutes i called the front desk, and it stopped within a couple minutes. On check out, i asked what it was and the front desk was unaware we had even called. While we don't expect special treatment, the least the hotel could do was to insure disruptions like this occur later in the day, or offer something as a minor compensation. It seemed like the desk clerk could care less that this occurred. No less that it was the time change weekend. In today's climate, customer service and loyalty should not be taken for granted. At least we were not in the area of the hotel, where all the sports kids were running the halls.

Check in was fast and pleasant. The room felt large so we appreciated the layout. It was clean and the Dove products in the bath were a nice surprise. The hotel is very close to various retail stores, including Bass Pro Shop. We would stay here again.

The property is beautiful. We ordered food at the bar and it took over an hour for our food to be ready even though people sitting next to us ordered after us and were done eating before our food even arrived. For breakfast, there was only one server working so the service was very slow.

I was told that breakfast would be included when I booked the room. When we checked in to your hotel the girl at the front desk said absolutely not.i did not get the name of the man who booked us but he said absolutely yes. I didn’t think that was very professional.
