Benchmark - accommodation in St. Petersburg - Clearwater

Arrived the week after Mother’s Day. Despite calling ahead due to disabled child and being told a room would be ready arrived and the only room ready was a 200$ up charge. WiFi did not work the entirety of the stay. Hotel did not have washcloths despite asking for them multiple times. Room was still dirty when we entered with a tips and hair in the bathroom and stains on the sheets. The pool was nice and the location on the beach was good. They were out of the free gifts for the entire stay. Bar staff was nice although bar and food options were very expensive l. The kids loved the water slide next door and met some nice people at the pools. The smores were nice for the kids. Umbrellas on the beach are not up all day and only two are included in your room fee with an extra 30.00 if you have more than two people in your room. Lots of up charges including a need for multiple rides / multiple reminders that staff and golf cart transportation work for tips .

Clean room, staff & beach view amazing

Lovely view of the ocean. Only thing I didn’t like about the stay is valet only parking Sounds good till you get the charge to rent the parking space.
