It was well kept and decorated. Staff was decent. I didn't like my 9 year old daughter finding a live outlet without a cover on it, and almost getting electrocuted. I also didn't care for the thermostat resetting every time I opened the sliding door for the patio.

I reserved a Gulf FRONT room, I got a Gulf View, at best, when i arrived. I went back and looked at the description/receipt and it said nothing about this terrible view, but other listings did...We paid 500/night to look at a public parking lot and construction with water on side and in background. We could have paid 100/night and had a better view at a Holiday Inn. Incredibly disappointing. I called down to guest services and the manager called me back and basically said, at least you did get a lower floor..... Other things to note- hotel is tight/packed in, there is not a center bar area. You can go to the bar in their one upscale restaurant- which has great food- or go outside to the pool bar. Not a lot of seating, small pool and not direct access to beach. The rooms were ok, coffee was horrible. I have stayed at other Opal Properties and loved them. This place is overpriced and feel as though we got the bait and switch. I usually stay at The SandPearl or JW, I will be returning to those locations.

Honeymoon
We stayed 5 nights for our Honeymoon and LOVED it. Everyone was so incredibly welcoming, answered all our questions. The room was spectacular and a bellhop brings up your luggage up. The beach is an easy walk from the hotel. The pool is heated all the time plus a hot tub that is great in size. The restaurant in the hotel was out of this world. We had our fancy dinner here and were pleasantly pleased with dinner. Other fun places near by easy walking distance. We also did putt putt, burgers, ice cream, outside games, and the BEACH!!!!!
