Things to Do:
We have a guest book in the condo but a ride over to Jekyll Island certainly is a 'must do'. They have a sea turtle rehabilitation center. Not sure about Driftwood beach. It got hit pretty hard by one of the hurricanes that came through and we have not been over to Jekyll lately. Driftwood Bistro is my sister's favorite restaurant and is on Jekyll island (I think it's good too).

Cumberland Island is also extremely interesting to visit. You have to make a reservation to ride the boat over. It is a bit of a drive from SSI but well worth it. They have wild horses and other wildlife. Also some really rich family used to own the island. Think it was the Carnegies. I would recommend you take the guided tour. It is a little pricey but so interesting.

Deep sea fishing - lots of charters that you can catch at the marina or the pier (we have not done this though).

Downtown Brunswick. Lots of cute restaurants and shops and they have made a bunch of films there. Very interesting.

Finally, the Island is very fun to explore. You may just decide to stay on the Island to be quite honest.

We had a amazing time. We went to the beach on SSI and Jekyll island. We ate at my fav place Iguana's. The shops always great. I come down here a few times a year with my family and we only stay at Ocean Walk.

Family vacation

This property was nice and suited our needs. It was a quiet area. However, there were some areas in need of improvement. The doors to the rooms did not latch shut, condensation around the air vents in the dining and living rooms posed a risk for water damage/slippery spots, and the hot water heater was set too low for both showers to run simultaneously, and the lamp and cord to the ceiling fan in the guest bedroom did not work. Two of the extra blankets had not been laundered. The cleaning staff could do a better job of making sure the ceiling fans are dusted regularly.

You can feel exactly at home here

This property is very comfortable, including the beds. The kitchen is well appointed so that you can cook most anything you like. Love the convenience of on-site washer/dryer. We had a challenge with the former, but the host responded promptly to communication and we worked through it. Loved having a sweeper since it is hard to fight the sand otherwise. The beach is so close we were there every day - rain or shine. Ocean Walk is a terrific complex and the location of this property on "the green" means away from the roadway. And yet, there is parking to the side that can be quite convenient. The deck faces south, so good sun with a view of the pond across the green. Quite delightful. Close to the clubhouse, both pools, and trash recepticle; very convenient. We hope to be back again.

Beautiful Condo in Great Location

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. It's just a short drive from town and the beach. On a side note, the mattresses are very comfortable to sleep in unlike many other rental places we've stayed.

Great Condo

This condo made for a very enjoyable week. Kitchen had everything that we needed to cook. Thank you, (because some kitchens are a little sparse) Beds were comfy and towels were great. Biggest thing always though is cleanliness and this unit was clean. Thank you for making this unit available to rent - we had a great time.
