The staff has perfect customer service skills. Greeted us upon arrival. Food was excellent. Anything we needed they was happy to assist. What I couldn't understand why is there's no microwave available in the rooms? There was a door to gain access to the beach area which was locked. Had to walk a little distance to get there. (I'm a senior citizen) Otherwise I enjoyed my stay. Will visit again

Great place to stay for quick access to the pool and beach. Breathtaking view. Slow service. The bar can get pretty busy but can still accommodate with ease. Excursions are just a walk away - approx 20 ft which makes things extremely convenient.

Staff at restaurants were overwhelmed. Restaurant had a limited menu. Everything was overpriced. They would not answer phones at restaurants for take out. There were a few good waiters but the others had a attitude.

The resort was a short walk from the airport, my 7 year old did it with no problem. The resort was right on the beach with access to water activities and food. Great 3 day getaway.

I have to give it to the chef at the bar and grille was great! Just have a sense of adventure, don't go for the boring options that you can get anywhere. Other than that the hotel looks a bit rough on the outside but has a bit of a charm we weren't able to fully appreciate due to our limited time. The beach was a great introduction to the area, we saw a lot of wildlife in a very short amount of time.

The best part of Emerald Beach is its location - near the airport, with views overlooking the water. However, it does not appear well maintained, and dining options are very limited. It is not in a walkable area - if you want to head into town, you need to pay for a cab. It also appears to be seriously understaffed - we had to wait almost 30 minutes before the one person at the front desk could check us in, and then we were told that our room would not be ready until 4:00 pm, which is much later than most hotels. When we approached the desk at 4:00, we were told that rooms would be ready "after 4:00 pm."

Even if you reply to their email asking if you would be coming early and need early checkin if appears you would be lucky to get your room until after the normal checkin time. We stayed 4 nights and saw alot of people sitting waiting for rooms after checkin time every day. Food service was very slow. Our room was clean. Pool was clean. Beach was clean

We arrived after flying all day.... We got to the room to find tiny bugs crawling all over the bathroom. We went to the office & she sent a man with bug spray! At that point, I wasn't going back in there! They relocated us to the room below it...bugs there also!! The man sprayed the bathroom & we kept nothing in there. We ended up keeping everything in our luggage. This was during a busy time so we didn't have many options at this point. They should have offered at least 1/2 of our money back if not all. Would not there again! It needs major updates & felt so dirty! I have photos and videos!

The property itself is in excellent condition, with a prime location within walking distance of the airport, numerous restaurants, shops, and direct beach access. The local staff members from St. Thomas were warm, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the experience. However, I was disappointed with the demeanor of the manager, an older woman who was consistently curt, unapproachable, and lacked the hospitality expected at a resort. Additionally, I was surprised that the resort did not incorporate reggae music at the bar, restaurant, or beach area. The Caribbean is known for its vibrant culture, and the absence of this staple made the atmosphere feel less authentic. Another opportunity for improvement would be adding beachside drink service to enhance the guest experience. Overall, while the resort has strong potential with its beautiful property and ideal location, the operations and management could benefit from improvement. I would stay here again now that I know what to expect, but for travelers seeking top-tier customer service, this may not be the best fit. If your priority is a clean, safe, and beachfront stay, this property meets the mark.

Great location to the airport for one night stay

After checking in and receiving our room key in the furthest building from the lobby, our key did not work for our room twice the second time we were given a key to open the door. It was actually to somebody’s room who is occupying it already Yikes!!! We have stayed at this resort many times. It is perfect for a one night stay before moving onto St. John. Yes, It’s a little tired, but our beds were clean and the beach is an extra. Our bartender did a great job he was definitely hustling to keep people well served. I do expect the island time service on the island but at least eye contact from your waitress or waiter in the restaurant would be greatly appreciated just knowing that they acknowledge that you’re there. This resort is a gem, but is definitely in need of a refresher.
