Disappointed with mobility facilities. Booked restaurant for the Sunday night for a family reunion but when we arrived were told the restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday. No quiet relaxing area due to library being used Saturday and Sunday Definitely not 4 star. Staff friendly and helpful.

Brilliant staff

Most positive aspect of the hotel was the staff who were outstanding in every area of the hotel including reception, bar and restaurant. The rooms were a bit dated but in good condition, mattress was not the best. Food quality was good and both food and drink decent value. The location is really nice with a lake at the front and a canal to the back. Overall very pleased and would certainly stay again.

Perfect location, just off the M6 for travelling further north. We only stayed 1 night but the service was excellent and a lovely area to walk the canal which was close by. The bar was lovely, meals excellent along with the staff. And perfect if you have a dog with you. Just can’t fault it

We have stayed at the Moat House several times, and always eaten in the restaurant. We have always found the rooms to be spacious, clean and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant, both evening meals and breakfast very good.

Great hotel

Great stay enhanced by a complimentary room upgrade to a lovely suite. Much appreciated. Slightly disappointing selection for Sunday evening bar meals as they had run out of various dishes. Overall- can't wait for a reaon to stay again .

The Moat House was a revelation, I was expecting high quality but it was better than that, literally everything was perfect. The room, view, staff, food, even to the extent that the biscuits in my room were gluten-free! (I had told them in advance I couldn’t have gluten but only expected this to be noted at breakfast!) I normally find something lacking in a hotel, but not this time. Thank you to all the staff, I’ll be back! 😊
