This is a piece of Danish history transformed into a unique home, where the original wooden details and wheelhouse have been preserved with respect for the ferry's soul.



The historic ferry Strynboen once sailed between Strynø and Rudkøbing and has now been converted into a habitable houseboat. The original wooden doors and authentic details create a special atmosphere that connects you with Denmark's maritime cultural heritage.



The houseboat is located directly in Stege, the island's main town, with easy access to the harbor and the town's historic charm. Enjoy the view of the water and the maritime atmosphere right outside your door.

A truly lovely ferry—we could tell a lot of heart and soul had gone into it. Fantastic views, and it was really great to be able to jump into the water right from the boat! Both we and the kids enjoyed it. Unfortunately, there were quite a few ants inside. So we bought some ant traps in hopes of solving the problem. Just for your information.
