Maintenance

The staff was great once we signed in. But when we got to the room 131 it didnt have a toilet to flush nor did the fridge . The plugs didnt work neither. We just wasnt happy

Huge Problem: Signed up for 2 days. Checked out the next day, left my card for the room with the front desk. Was told I wouldn't be credited for the 2nd day. I did not stay the 2nd night. Then, on the evening of the second day, I received an email from the hotel claiming I had not checked out and would receive a late fee. I will not be using Expedia again, don't understand the advantage, and now Expedia is a middle company that probably won't take care of this kind of thing.

Horrible stay! Do not recommended!

We arrived and the lobby was filthy and uninviting. We went to our room and hall ways were filthy also. Our room looked like it hadn’t been swept, the chair was absolutely dirty and worn out. The bathroom didn’t look clean and the toilet paper roll was sitting in a box because there was no roller to put it on. The pillow were tiny and extremely soft, the bed was uncomfortable and the a/c was noisy. The people above us were extremely noisy and sounded like elephants walking! Which we know isn’t the hotels fault but it just added to how awful our stay was. Had we been staying more than 1 night, we would have cancelled and left. We will NEVER stay here again. DO BETTER!!!

Horrible!!! There has been a construction and renovation going on the property. No one even bothered to let me know about it upfront. Horrible construction and pounding on the walls from 800am till 5 pm during the hours . There is no way to sleep and rest during daytime especially if you work nights. The hotel should not be even open during construction process. Let alone charging money for regular price. It should be closed or 1/2 price and the staff has to let people know about the constant construction and noise during the stay.

My room's floor was dirty. The couch in the room had stains on it that smelled like dog pee. The hot faucet handle in the shower leaked when it was off and got worse during my shower. The shower had mold. Construction noise in the evening and the morning. The free breakfast was the bare minimum. There weren't gluten-free options, and I have Celiac. When I requested a one hour later check out I was directed to sign up and would've had to pay an extra $20/hour. I didn't sign up and figured something else out. However, the most significant aspect was that Sterling's prison was just down the road. Most doors that enter into a hotel have to be accessed with a room key, and then you can enter your room. The doors to the Super 8 Hotel in Sterling were not secure. Scary to say the least.

Rooms nice size, updated room flooring, plenty of lamps. Room door with evidence of someone trying to break in from the hallway and patched with dry wall compound. Did not feel safe. Bathroom light with several dead insects in light globe, poor lighting, filthy fan. Air conditioner with dirty filter and making a horrible high-pitched hum. Mini-fridge cold but dirty, something leaked from the freezer compartment to the bottom. Bed skirt with stains. Horrible “Light breakfast”: no protein source or fresh fruit. Not worth staying, we couldn't wait to leave. Also, the smell outside was nauseating like overstocked cattle feedlots. On the bright side, it looks like it's getting slowly updated.
