Nice stay 1 night. Easy parking and dining. Only thing I would say is that there is not enough hooks or towel rails to hang towels and there is not enough surface area to put toiletries etc so it's a bit of a juggling act on the bathroom.

Inconsiderate hotel guests!

Hotel & staff were lovely but unfortunately some very inconsiderate hotel guests woke me up at 3.15am talking extremely loudly outside my room & banging doors!! I was attending an intensive course the following day so not ideal - some people can be so rude!!

Noisy & tepid

Great location in the old town, alot of bars & eateries to choose from. Nice (small) double room, hotel was in good condition & appeared clean. Xmas guests coming back from having fun at 2.30am until 4.30am was challenging, but not the fault of the hotel just poorly educated people without consideration for others. Other gripe was only 1 set of towels in the double room, took 3 requests across 2 hours to get the additional, buffet breakfast was tepid at best, spirit burners used to keep bacon etc. warm are not good enough. This was very disappointing along with a non existent bread selection. Cheap sliced white & brown for self toasting is inadequate in our opinion.

Great place to stay

Really lovely room. Comfy beds and pillows. Water is boiling. Lighting could be better at the bed end of the room as with all lights on it’s still dark. Room was spotless and well decorated. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Parking is free.

I stay at the Cromwell whenever I am in Stevenage. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff are professional. The parking is very convenient and the location is close to shops and dining.

First time we had stayed here. Friendly and professional reception staff. Very helpful and booked a taxi for us for later that evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Long walk to bedroom. Very clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed . Plenty of room for storage. Tea and coffee facilities. Lovely bar area but had to get a drink from another area due to a private event. Lots of parking. Easy to check out.

Having originally come from Stevenage it was nostalgic for me to stay at the Cromwell,as when I was younger it was considered a posh place to stay considering all the history it was also one of the first places I had an alcoholic drink when I was of legal age ,so it was a a full circle event for me .would recommend this place to anyone wanting a comfortable stay at a fantastic location you won’t regret it.

The decor was what drew my eye when looking to book a hotel here. Every member of staff was polite and courteous. The breakfast was well appointed. The room I was assigned was comfortable and clean, well designed and really felt like a guest bedroom at a friend's house v a sterile hotel. Will definitely be back!
