Welcome to this restored 18th-century holiday home in Exbomont, a tranquil hamlet in the Belgian Ardennes, just 15 km from Stavelot and minutes from the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. With 4 bedrooms, it comfortably hosts up to 9 guests, and includes a baby cot. The home spans two floors, with charming low doorways upstairs (1.70 m). Set on a private 5000 m² garden, the house features a south-facing terrace with panoramic countryside views, perfect for relaxing or dining outdoors. Inside, enjoy a blend of historic character and modern comfort, with natural materials like sandstone, shale, and wood. Please note: the open fireplace is not in use. De moeder van de eigenaar die de sleutel afgeeft spreekt zowel Nederlands als Frans en is zeer vriendelijk. De ligging van het vakantiehuis is super; het uitzicht is erg mooi en het is zeer rustig. Het huis is oud (krakende vloeren e.d.), maar de eigenaar investeert wel regelmatig in het huis. Zo zijn er kort geleden nieuwe kunststof kozijnen en deuren in gekomen en er zit een vrij nieuwe elektrische boiler in). Het terras is mooi, maar een tuinset ontbreekt helaas. De blauwe tuinset op de foto's is er niet meer (of misschien alleen voor de foto's even neergezet). Er staat nu een tuinbank op het terras, maar die is doorgerot en daar kun je nu niet op zitten. De eigenaar zal dat zeker herstellen als hij weer op de locatie komt. Er staan nu wel twee mooie ligbedden op het terras. De bbq vonden wij wat vies om te gebruiken. Voor natuurliefhebbers een fantastisch vakantiehuis met vriendelijke mensen. De bedden lagen erg goed. Er staat ook een koffiezetapparaat voor koffie-cups. Samengevat: een zeer fijn vakantiehuis, maar het is wel jammer dat er nu geen tuinset en geen parasol aanwezig zijn. De parasol kunnen we wel begrijpen, omdat eerdere gasten de parasol niet inklapten waaide de parasol kapot. Bij het merendeel van de telecomproviders is het bereik niet zo goed (vaak 1 streepje), maar daar kan de eigenaar niets aan doen en je kunt je wel redden als je met je telefoon naar buiten loopt. Nu hadden wij een last minute boeking en betaalden we niet zoveel. Voor de prijs die wij betaalden hebben we zeker "waar voor ons geld" gekregen !

Voor ons een prima uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de Peak brouwerij en het circuit Spa-Francorchamps. Vriendelijke ontvangst bij het afhalen van de sleutel en duidelijke uitleg. Charmante woning met mooie ligging en uitzicht. Prima bedden maar let op dat de vierde slaapkamer naar ons idee de overloop is met één bed en met toegang tot twee andere slaapkamers en de trapopgang. Goede keukenuitrusting, alleen de pannen met anti aanbaklaag kunnen niet meer gebruikt worden ivm beschadigde en afbladderende coating. Toto slot bleek dat de mobiele ontvangst erg slecht was. Wat dat betreft zou wifi een goede aanvulling zijn (we wisten dat dat er niet was). Al met al hebben we er een prima weekend gehad.

Es folgt eine kurze Erklärung unserer Erfahrung mit der Ferienwohnung vermietet. Am Freitag 27-08 wir an der Schlüsseladresse um 17.30 Uhr kamen den Schlüssel zu unserem Ferienhaus zu erhalten. Eine kleine Überraschung sofort gefolgt. , Da die alten Dame angeblich wusste nichts und verlagerte alles auf die Tatsache , dass ihr Sohn alles angeordnet. jedoch ist diese Welle nicht vorhanden , und nach ein paar Minuten des Sprechens der Schlüssel gegeben ist. am Haus angekommen und die Haustür zu öffnen folgte sofort ein Gestank von Feuchtigkeit und Dreck ... unserer Meinung nach war , dass dies für eine lange Zeit nicht vermietet. das Haus roch schmutzig und feucht und muffig ... nach herumlaufen wir auf eine große Anzahl von Fehlern kam , wie in den beigefügten Fotos sichtbar gezeigt .. Ich werde sie für dich auflisten-Türgriffe, die locker sind und herunterfallen-Lichter so verschmiert, dass du es nicht wagst, sie zu berühren-Kühlschrank, der kaputt ist-3 Fernseher, die alle d tun Sie es nicht - Backofen, der vor Gebrauch desinfiziert werden muss - Badezimmer voller Schimmel und verstopfter Abflüsse - Staub- und Ungezieferpackungen im Haushalt - Küchenutensilien, die vor Gebrauch desinfiziert werden müssen - Lattenroste der Betten kaputt - Bettwäsche ist voll von schmutzigen Flecken .. - gebrochen Heizung , ... nicht praktikabel eine Beschwerde bei der Schlüsseladresse eingereicht, aber wieder zu ihrem Sohn Verschiebung, der wieder nicht zu sehen ist , da wir sonst keine andere Wahl zu buchen etwas hatten.. an Ort und Stelle haben wir die 3 Tage dort verbracht haben , die absolut keinen Spaß was.Monday Morgen sofort im Schlüssel und zu unserer Überraschung mussten wir auch zahlen weitere 60 Euro für die Reinigung übergeben war .... wir haben schon viele Dinge erlebt während Urlaub, aber das ist wirklich alles verloren. Wir haben nie, wirklich nie gesehen ein so müde und schmutzig Haus ...

Schöner Ort mit einer schönen Aussicht! Man hört nur die Vögel und gelegentlich Hühner vom Nachbarn. Das Haus ist nicht super isoliert, aber die Heizung funktioniert super, und ansonsten gibt es auch ein sehr schönes Badezimmer mit Badewanne, in dem man sich aufwärmen kann. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Umgebung und die Aussicht auf die Unterkunft waren großartig. Die Unterkunft selbst, wie sie es nennen, war authentisch. Sehr solide mit hier und da ein paar losen Türgriffen und einer abschließbaren Tür. Das war auch der Preis und das wussten wir auch im Voraus. Wir fordern nicht und fanden das daher völlig in Ordnung.
