Hotel claims to have Air Conditioning, but neglects to advertise that they will shut will it off at their own discretion.
We checked in and found, despite it being a heat wave in June, the heat running in our room. We switched to AC, showered and left for dinner. We returned and went right to bed, noting that the room was still hot. I awoke not even an hour later, sweating & uncomfortable & found the AC was now NOT running at all, despite the room STILL being hot. I lowered the AC to the lowest setting, but could not get the unit to kick run.
We were informed by the front desk, that the in-room temperature does NOT matter; the AC units will shut off, if the OUTSIDE temperature drops below a certain number.
It does not matter AT ALL, if your own room is still at an uncomfortable and unacceptable temperature, they will REFUSE to allow you to run the AC unit that you PAID TO USE. They will take your money and decide, regardless of any preference or medical condition, that you get NO AC.
I was barely able to sleep for the rest of the night, and had a terrible headache the following day as I was likely dehydrated from sweating all night in a sweltering room.
Front desk woman could have cared less, she just blamed the cleaning staff for leaving the heat running. We were given no discount, nor an apology. Will never be returning to this location.
