Oh boy…The place…It was pretty. If you’re looking for a cozy place with a warm fireplace though, you’ll get the ambiance but not the heat (gas fireplace). Hot chocolate was the best we’ve had! The website promoted buffet breakfast. Buffet it turns out was only Sundays. Times not indicated on website which made it tough to plan our mornings. The site said scones and muffins with coffee available. There was only coffee. Seafood buffet advertised for Friday nights and Italian buffet advertised for Saturdays. Same amount of each type and many of the same items both nights. Not sure why that’s promoted that way. The site advertised a full service spa,massages etc. Some staff insisted there was no spa..yet other staff said yes and one even gave me the number. I left a voicemail…I had also emailed before our trip and never got an email back…I eventually did…also didn’t get a call back..bottom line is that there’s a spa that only does hair and make up I THINK (?)…. The shower is extremely small. Water pressure and temperature was good. Bring your own soap and shampoo, no soap lather. On second thought shower when you get home. You probably won’t fit in the shower. Room was FREEZING. Had to ask twice for heat to be increased. Staff vacuumed at 6:30 am and were very thorough…I know because I heard them move furniture. It almost drowned out the snoring we heard in next room. It was hard to sleep. Food was good. FYI there is no elevator. Property was nice. Beautiful views.

Spent 3 nights at the stroudsmoor country inn. Wonderful hospitality, all the staff is very helpful, kind and engaging. Breakfast was included in my staying and absolutely delicious. I stayed at the Main inn. Rooms are clean, many amenities from warm rooms, swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, apples, coffee, teas along the corridors, buffet brunch on Sunday’s and all the outdoor offers hikes and beautiful views on the poconos. Very happy with my staying at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn.

The hostess, an older woman with long, dyed hair, was extremely, shockingly rude. The front desk ran out of towels. The hallway outside our room had a funky smell. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything going on next door. The breakfast was very basic, the pancakes were a disappointment, and the service was very slow because I believe they were understaffed. One thing I liked, though, was the indoor pool - it was very nice.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The thermostat in the room was not working, and the room was uncomfortably cold. To make matters worse, the bathroom was full of bugs. This lack of basic comfort, cleanliness, and responsiveness made the stay very unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel.

When we got to the pool, there were many kids being wild and screaming. When the kids were leaving, the owner came over to my wife and I and told us that he would keep the pool open for an extra hour to compensate for our inconvenience. He paid for our drinks that we brought to the pool area and then even dimmed the lighting and allowed us to have the entire pool area to ourselves. We’ll never forget the hospitality shown to us on our stay.

We have stayed here several times. We are never disappointed! It is always clean and they offer a delicious breakfast. Lisa the manager is a doll. Also, I can’t remember the name of the new bartender,(sorry), but she was working Saturday night January 3 in the evening and she was awesome.!
