The light and bright open layout is great for families with a welcoming living room and full kitchen. The first floor has one bedroom with a king bed. The living room has a sleeper sofa. The second floor has two bedrooms with a queen bed & a full bed in the first bedroom and a full bed & 2 single bunk bed sets in the second bedroom. The description of the property was exactly as we found it with the number of beds, which was important based on the size of our family. The property was a little run down and dated but it served our purpose and made for a great family vacation.

Great location, perfectly situated between the intracoastal and the ocean...

Nice house, needs a little TLC, a mix up with some plumbing issues that were supposed to be fixed before we arrived but they got it done while we were there only hindered our stay a little as the plumber showed up 2 hours later then expected. Plenty of room, the kitchen had everything we needed.

The house had a musty smell that we couldn’t get rid of, even after a few days of airing it out. Everything inside was pretty much outdated and worn out including the cobwebs and crumbs. The area was fine and Vacasa seemed easy to communicate with.

Robert's Retreat

House was as advertised. Good location to the beach and to the bridge on/off the island. Each room has its own AC so each room can be adjusted to prefered temperature. Would stay here again.

Summer Getaway

Robert's Retreat is a older beach house about 6 blocks from the ocean in a nice neighborhood. It's comfortable like many of the beach houses we've stayed in at Holden Beach. We worried that it might be hot because of the chalet style, but the mini-split AC system allowed each room to be comfortably cooled. There was a dehumidifier that we emptied a couple of times a day. One ceiling light was flickering and the repairman came pretty quickly to fix it. There weren't a lot of serving utensils, so it could use some spatulas, serving spoons, etc. as well as some minor repairs like towel rods in the bathrooms. Overall, it was a very good experience.
