A comfortable stay for one night. Hot water was not working in the bathroom and room telephone did not work so ordering room service was more complicated. However, had good food delivered to the room and the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was provided. Staff were nice and attentive

Check-in was good, staff were great, helped us with our cases. Room had a damp/mouldy smell then through the night we had a water leak from the room above. Left after one night.

An excellent hotel with a colonial-style lobby so big you could park a jumbo jet in there. Great value for money, spacious well-appointed room, room service (haven't seen that in a while, although I didn't use it) and an extremely efficient aircon unit that would cause hypothermia if left running on full overnight. Situated a few Km north of downtown Surat Thani, but a 7/11 just over the road (actually an 8 lane motorway, but if you run you'll be ok). Breakfast won't win awards, but what do you expect for £30 a night? The perfect tonic after spending 5 nights in a substandard beach hut on Koa Tao. It's a shame the hotel was practically empty, they deserve more custom. The staff are excellent, the lobby as good as any I've seen in a 4-star, and it would be criminal if hotels like this go out of business. Downtown Surat Thani is the real Thailand you absolutely must visit. Everything's in Thai, no-one speaks any other language, and the evening streetfood market is a feast for the senses, a foodie's paradise all cooked fresh in front of you. No weird stuff, the aromas will stay with me forever, and plenty of homemade ice cream and smoothies for the kids. Fabulous, and only £1.50 in a tuktuk away from the hotel.

I recommend you book directly with the hotel.

Because we booked through hotels.com the hotel did not seem to know we were arriving. They had several guest keys ready to be picked up but not ours. It took longer than normal to check in and they gave us the wrong room then called us to move. They were very apologetic and lovely to deal with. Next time I will book directly with the hotel.

Great place to stop off if location is convenient

Really nice hotel, though slightly dated, and very empty. Great value and the staff were super helpful and really kind. Location is out of the way but good if you want to get to the ferry port in the morning.

The very calm and comfort hotel.

The overall envirement of hotel very calm. The room was very comfort and clean but hotel management not provided the complimentary tea n coffee in room. We stay at superior room which located at level 2 and need to walk-up. The staff are very nice and good services.

THE HOTEL WAS OLD FASHIONED THE LOOKED OLD THE BATHROOM WAS OLD THE BED WAS HARD THE PILOW STANK IT WAS A BAD HOTEL BREAKFAST WAS SO BAD I WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WOULD TELL MY FRIEDS NOT TO GO .

Good place to stay.

Room was huge and quiet! Breakfast buffet was ok.. spaghetti carbonara was good but the Pad Thai terrible. Staff really friendly and try to help as much as they understand!! They help me to book my ferry to Koh Samui. Thanks guys!!

best value I've ever had on a hotel

very low prices. nice hotel, breakfast included and had a lot of choices. thought prices were a misprint given quality. about $30 usd for room and two full breakfast buffets. unbelievable value.

Utterly disappointing and uncomfortable

Very tired travellers arrived after long long train ride and we were very disappointed. Room was stark and bed like a slab of concrete. Bare minimum of everything and worn out furniture. We were the only Westerners at breakfast which was busy and eggs stone cold. Would never stay there again!
