Great location but lack of the maintenance
The location was only a few steps away from Diana Fountain, which was the centre of Ortigia.
The property was tastefully furnished that was the reason I booked this property.
But there was no shower in the second bathroom (I had to book another property for my son and his partner), the TV was not working (missed World Cup), the all dishes were kept on the really badly rusted metal rack and no way to recycle/ appropriately discard the domestic rubbish other than to throw all into the public bins in the nearby street (I was told off by a passerby). The worst of all, the owner had no intention of doing anything. When I complained, she got angry with me!!! And the person in charge spoke not quite adequate English, which could sometimes make our understanding of each other difficult (e.g. she mixed up personal pronouns. Was she talking about me or someone else???).
All the while I stayed there for a month I felt as if I was inspecting her property for her. What a waste of my time and energy!
If the owner had taken a bit of care of her own property, I could have made my stay very pleasant. It was a shame.
