We booked this home for our family’s annual Team Church Conference. While the house itself was nice, we cannot recommend staying here due to serious security concerns and the owner’s lack of transparency and response. Upon arrival, we noticed two locked rooms that guests could not access. One had a light on the first night but was off the next morning, raising concerns about whether someone else had access to the property. We also reported that two of the three showers were not draining properly. The most concerning incident occurred the following day when a complete stranger unlocked and entered the front door using an access code he had been given after booking the home. Even after we informed the man and his other housemates that our stay was not over, a few a moments later they were discovered walking around the backyard and looking through the windows, which frightened our children! Despite our request, the owner never called. He only messaged that the guest had accidentally been given the cleaning crew’s code and that he would change it. There was no apology or acknowledgment of how serious and frightening this security breach was. On our final night, we heard a loud crash around 3:30 a.m. that appeared to come from the area of the locked rooms, where the light had repeatedly been coming on. Ultimately, the lack of security and the owner’s response left us feeling unsafe. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property.
