Spacious Cabin Tahoe Park Access
You’ll love this spacious 5 bedroom, 2½ bathroom “pet friendly” vacation rental located within the Talmont area of West Lake Tahoe. A great home for large groups with a combined kitchen, dining area, living room and covered deck looking out into the forest. Amenities include washer/dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, BBQ, high speed internet and a river rock fireplace in the living room. These accommodations are within walking distance to Paige Meadows for hiking trails, mountain biking and cross country skiing.
IMPORTANT NOTE - This is a newer listing for us (as of early 2025), but it’s worth mentioning that this home has been an active vacation rental property for many years and has over 100 Five Star Reviews. When we took over management of the property, the listing had to be rebuilt under our Property Management account. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to transfer legacy reviews over to the new listing. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the simple access to Paige Meadows / hiking trails just a few blocks from the cabin. Or you can catch the bike trail down below and enjoy miles of paved trails along the West Shore or into Tahoe City, down the Truckee River, or all the way out to Palisades. So fun!

There is parking for 1 vehicle in the garage and 2 - 3 vehicles on the driveway pad directly in front of the cabin. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).
No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
There are a few steps that lead from the driveway down to the front deck / entry door area. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe snow piled up on the stairs and possible berms in front of the garage (as a result of plow operations). There are shovels onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.

The bear protection system was not working. The property manager indicated that a service person was working to fix it.Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know this before we arrived.
