Pros:
1) Great, nope...Excellent location! Less than a 5 minutes walk to Ximending. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, convenient stores, places to shop, foot massage shops all within 5-10 minutes walk. Metro station is 1 and 1/2 block from the hotel entrance. Exit #5 is closer to the hotel entrance but Exit #4 has escalator.
2) Room size is good, a lot of space to open your luggage.
3) Bed size is great, double/queen size.
4) Great hotel staff, super friendly...at least the ones I've encountered.
Cons:
1) The property is outdated.
2) Furniture were old and had some wear and tears.
3) The rooms were not very clean. Dusts on the ceiling wall and air vents. Stains on the carpet & wallpapers, inside the room and hallways outside.
4) Bathroom stinks!! It might have something to do with old plumbing (or maybe the heat during the summer), but if you keep the bathroom door opened and the toilet seat covered, you can still smell the sewage when you're in bed. The smell comes and goes. You can also hear toilet flushing from the next room.
5) Walls are thin. You can hear the conversations/noise from next room. During my stay, there were guests running in the hallway, slamming their doors in the middle of the night.
6) Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but if you visit during the summer and you're out at night....prepare yourself to run...because there will be roaches (huge and flies), near the hotel entrance and the surrounding areas/streets. Summer bugs
