Unbelievable

Price doesn’t match to its quality. The hotel is way too out dated, carpet is broken, wall is dirty, bathroom is old, and the air conditioning can’t be adjusted. Overall a rip-off experience and will never come back.

Hotel lobby was very shabby, and check-in was relatively smooth. When I got to my room, I was disgusted. The room smelled like a toilet and there wasn't much sunlight into the room, so it was very weirdly lit. I am concerned about the cleanliness of this hotel.

You Get What You Pay For

Relite was chosen by us for its moderate price. And we got what we paid for! They did move our room upon request, as there was all night pounding by a construction project near the hotel. We were very thankful for that. Not much else positive about this hotel, but not terrible.

Location is good within walking distance to XiMenDing. But now the area is tearing down a bridge, the traffic is horrible, unless you plan to take the subway to go elsewhere in Taipei, otherwise expect to sit in traffic

It's not that bad

Read many bad reviews but I think it's really acceptable considering the price I've paid for the stay. Great location and breakfast. Hotel staff was helpful too.

Alright hotel

Room for 4 was alright. Ceiling is a little low in the shower, uncomfortable for tall people. Hotel location is in the middle of ximending and Taipei main station, about 10mins walk to both.

Dishonest management

This was a terrible experience. Firstly, we were told that the room that we booked had a broken toilet and then we were taken to another hotel deep in Ximen that had the most terribly mouldy carpet. It was so bad that even the hotel worker had red eyes from it. After being damped here, we walked back to the hotel to request a refund. We were advised at we needed to contact the agent and that they would give us refund. This was 11 January, 2013 and despite telephoning the agent that night and following up with an e-mail a few days later I am still waiting for a reply and a refund more than one month later. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Cosy family bonding

Though the building looks totally unappealing on the outside, our family room was rather comfy, cosy, neat and clean. We were able to make do even when there's very little working, walking, sitting or standing space for the four of us especially, when the room's quite narrow with our luggage as well! The bathroom is simply elegant and spacious with rain shower. Clean towels were replaced and toiletries were replenished daily with good housekeeping. There's complimentary coffee/tea and drinking water supply everyday too. Their daily breakfast may be boring but it may be quite tasty and acceptable also. Our overall stay was rather pleasant.

Someone told the room is old and not clean, however maybe It is all renovated. The room condition was good. But the breakfast was not good. Tables are dirty.. and There's no food to eat. I just ate a slice of bread with jam.

We stay 3 nights in the deluxe room at the Relite Hotel. The room was clean & the location is convenient to restaurant, MTR & shopping. The service is very friendly but the food is very normal, same everyday.

Disappointing to say

It is rather close to Ximenting and places of interest. Other than that, this hotel is really not recommended if given the choice. I had couple of rooms during my visit with my families. Place is dirty, floor or carpet not clean, rubbish not clear everyday, air-con is centrally controlled, fridge not in order and nobody bother to fix...till the day we left. Got no laundry service, so you will have to wash your own clothing at those self wash laundry shop 5 in walk away in a small alley.

Room was pretty gross and hotel seems to be quite old. My floor, at least, was very old and dingy. I wouldn't stay there again.
