I’ve stayed at JR Clemens Hotel four times through the years, and the hotel keeps getting better! The staff spoke okay English during check-in, it was easy to buy (excellent!) breakfast for just one of our days and the room was fresh and suited our needs perfectly.
We had some kind of deluxe standard room with great beds, okay amount of space and good tea and coffee. Only downside was that we only were on the seventh floor and thus did not get one of the amazing view that you can get if you are higher up.
I would like to add that the breakfast was the best ones I have had in Japan, and that it has improved a lot during recent years. I am a vegetarian and could more than eat my fill. Especially appreciated the varm pancakes and the soft serve ice cream.
The hotel lacks any kind of onsen, which I would say is the only thing missing right now for a truly outstanding experience.
