The communication was top notch and was in a nice location, walkable to everything downtown. The house itself was older and a bit dated. The staircase is slippery so need to be careful walking up and down the stairs. The biggest issue I had was with the house description. It says it has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 9 when it really has 3 functioning bedrooms. There is another “bedroom” but it has a sign on the door saying it cannot be used for sleep for safety reasons because it’s on the second floor and the window doesn’t open big enough to get out if there’s a fire. Then the last “bedroom” isn’t a bedroom at all. It’s a reading nook right when you enter the house. So it would sleep 6 people comfortable, 7 if they sleep in the nook. They shouldn’t consider the bedroom that can’t be used for sleeping in the description at all.

Such a lovely property! Well taken care of, clean, and had all the amenities advertised. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars was because when we arrived to the property, there were two teenage boys already there. My understanding is that they were the sons of the property owners. They were perfectly nice and left quickly. VRBO got in contact with the owners and we learned that it was their son, so all was good. Just a weird way to start the stay, but we felt safe and it was addressed quickly, which was appreciated!

Cozy in the Cottage
We visited McCall for the first time just after Christmas. It was our family of four and a friend of my teen son that went for the trip. There were plenty of beds for everyone. Check-in was remarkably easy. The home was very clean when we arrived. The best part of the whole stay was the location. We were in the heart of downtown and were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants, coffee shops and Albertson’s. We were even able to make a quick trip to the ice-skating rink to do some ice-skating and bumper cars. It was nice having a driveway to park our truck. There was so much snow that we weren’t able to use the backyard or fire pit. But the space was very nice. The kitchen and amenities (including things like makeup remover wipes) made our stay very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. I will say that the home itself feels old. The floors were creaky, cracked and very uneven throughout the first floor and even felt sloped in certain areas. So please be aware in case you suffer from vertigo. The stairs were a little wobbly and “tricky” in some parts. That said, the beds were very comfortable and the home was so warm and cozy. There are plenty of dishes and towels. We had a great time during our stay at Park Street Cottage.

Excellent location in a charming home
We had 7 family members, including 2 children and 1 baby, for an extended family reunion in McCall. The property location was amazing: walking distance to the grocery store, beach, downtown, playground, and museums. The property had many great amenities (pack n play, high chairs, wagon, scooter, fire pit, hot tub, outdoor dining). The home was clean, the kitchen was amply stocked to make home made meals every day. The beds were comfortable. We will seek out this property again if we return. The property manager was very easy to communicate. Overall great experience.

Family weekend in the snow
Wow, this place was clean, stocked full, comfortable and in the perfect location. On this trip we had us, our 5 grown children, 1 granddaughter and a dog. We were worried about parking, but we easily fit 1 vehicle in the garage and 3 vehicles in the driveway. I wasn't sure if they had a crockpot or spices, so I brought mine and upon arrival, they actually had 3 and a full cubbard of spices. Tons of dishes, pans and plenty of silverware. They also had a garage full of items, a wagon, sleds, beach items, baskets, toys, games, bikes, kiaks, beach towels. They also had a completely fenced yard for the dog and a shovel to clean up after them. This isn't just a rental, you can tell that the own lives there too and takes good care of it. Every age group was happy and I felt like I was at a friend's house. Within a few short minutes we, including our 3 year old grandaughter, could easily walk everywhere, the grocery store, park, beach, coffe, shopping and restraunts. This house is right in the heart of the town. The hot tub was warm, topped off and clean. It's right off the covered patio, so you didn't have to walk through snow to get in. The patio string lights on the front and back porch created a warm ombiance. The mud room, right off the front door was absolutely perfect for all of our snow gear. The rental company was AMAZING. They gave email tips throughout the renting process, so I didn't have to scroll back through emails and find things, like key codes. A real person answered immediately when I called to change something. Since I'm leaving a honest review, I'll also leave feedback on how they can improve and these are just personal preferences. I'm not a kitchen sponge person and change out my washcloth everyday. We only had 2, so a few more washcloths and hand towels could help. Also, the beautiful, old pine floor was a bit rough in spots for our granddaughter, so bring your slippers. The rug in the master catches on the door everytime you try to close it. We could of used a few more full beds instead of twins, but that was just the dynamics of our group. A few more hooks in the mud room would help items dry. If I had to pick this house a part this is honestly all that I can come in with. Which really isn't much or too bothersome to deture from renting. We would like to come back in the summer and will rent this house again. Summer or fall, this house truly has it all.

Charming!
This cottage is a charmer. They have excellent decor and statement pieces like the scrabble board, the record player, hand carved trout, Atari in the kids room, unique doorbell, etc. The kitchen is well stocked. Fully fenced backyard is amazing, especially if you are bringing your fur child. It is walking distance to just about anywhere. Check in was smooth, and management company responded quickly and efficiently, even on the Thanksgiving Day weekend.
Our recommendations for improvement: The property has a hot tub and the rate we paid reflects that. I completely understand things break and can’t be fixed before our stay. Management let us know a day before arriving. We could not change property’s that late, so our rate should have been adjusted accordingly, in my opinion. They have a very nice gas fire place that we couldn’t use the first night because the remote needed to be reprogrammed and the instructions in the welcome packet state it is a wood burning fireplace. Need to update your welcome packet. We got it going ourselves on TG. Friday it went out on its own. They did send a guy out right away and he fixed it again. The smart TV is nice with Netflix and Prime, but buy a $20 antenna so you can provide basic network channels. I had to get creative streaming on my laptop to watch the 3 NFL games on TG Day. The couch is pretty uncomfortable, there are no ottomans or recliners. We could barely sit our party of 3 kids and 3 adults. If we had 10 like they claim, it would be extremely tight and uncomfortable. A king bed in the downstairs master would be ideal. There is plenty of room for one. Put a rain gutter on the front porch. If you leave the house you are taking a shower in melted snow runoff. Plus it dumps right on the deck stair, making it extremely slippery and dangerous when it freezes over. Should put the porch light on a timer. We arrived when it was dark and could not see a thing.
All in all, we would probably stay here again. I think fixing a few things would turn this place into a 5 star property. It is conveniently located on the edge of downtown directly behind the Albertsons. If you are a medium to light sleeper bring your earplugs or noise cancelling headphones because the loading docks are active a 4 am and are basically in the backyard.

No hot tub or support
House had great location and was very clean. However, the hot tub was completely powered off upon on arrival. There were no instructions on its use, although, there were lots of instructions on what was expected of us, the guest, in regards to cleaning. I called the provided phone number within 1 hour of arrival and my call went to after hours voicemail. We were checking in on a Saturday, so I thought “ok, they will call me Monday morning”. My call was never returned. I received an email on Monday asking what time was I leaving the next day and was there anything that they needed to know about the house. I emailed with my departure time and that the hot tub was not working. My email was never responded to. After departing, I was emailed asking for a review - so here it is. We stay in McCall 2-3 times a year. This could have been the “it” spot but never again. Having a hot tub in winter is one of our favorite things. There are many other properties with one that charge less. If renting this location, don’t expect A response to any problems. Take this location in an “as is” and a roll of the dice for what you get. . I would be very concerned if I was the owner too. What if it had been a burst pipe or something serious, would they have responded then or just assumed your home owners insurance would cover it since they obviously don’t care about the property or the guest.

Wasn't impressed
The location was within walking distance of most everything. Some early mornings were pretty noisy being next to the back of Albertsons. The description said it sleeps 10 but the only way it sleeps 10 is if someone sleeps on the sofa which isn't a sleeper sofa. The hot tub and firepit was nice to have but the backyard had a lot of weeds. It's an old house so the floors n stairs are very creaky. The stairs are also kind of dangerous. We definitely didn't think it was worth the money.

Sweet Lake themed cottage walking distance to everything.
The home was well stocked. The backyard was large.
The rooms were clean. We appreciated the games. We were very comfortable in the temperature (having no drafts) and an efficient and modern heat and a/c. The home was packed with charm. We much enjoyed our visit.
The age of the home shows in the steepness (not to modern code) of the stairs. We found it delightful in it's age and creaks. However, take note for those who are not steady of foot. Thank you for a lovely visit.
