Davis Island- Close to EVERYTHING!!!!!

Exceptionally maintained three level/ split level home on beautiful Davis Islands. My home has an open floor plan and as you enter you will find a sitting area in front of an inviting wood burning fireplace. Adjoining the sitting area is a comfortable dining space with a table that has an extension to accommodate your friends and family. There is a straight view from the front door through the house to the pool oasis. But before you walk outside, you will want to spend time in the kitchen and downstairs family room. This is the heart of the house. The kitchen has a massive island that doubles as a working prep island, and an informal gathering space to eat meals or play games. The refrigerator is a side by side Sub Zero and the oven/stove is Thermador. Cooking in this kitchen is a chef's dream (or a hash slinger's dream - whichever the case may be). There are two sinks on either side of the kitchen with counter space galore- so multiple cooks can have their own working area. I love to cook and bake and I live in the house when you all aren't renting it- so you should find everything you need to make just about anything. I'll take you upstairs next- and leave the backyard for last.
At the first landing on the stairs you will find the Primary Bedroom with an ensuite. This room has a wrought iron queen size bed and a TV that is hidden inside the armoire that also holds extra blankets. The ensuite has a walk in shower and towels, hair dryer, soap and shampoo.
When you walk up the second flight of stairs you will find another open floor plan with a second family room with wrap around couch with plenty of seating to watch the TV. There is also a game table in this room and PLENTY of jigsaw puzzles and games to chose from. This is the room that also has the queen size murphy bed. The bed is hidden behind the curtain that says "STAY GROOVY".
This third floor also has the two extra bedrooms. Both rooms have queen size beds and wall mounted TVs. (I never liked staying at places that didn't have a TV in each bedroom- so I made sure you won't have that experience at my place.)
There is one bathroom for the third floor and it has a bath/shower and plenty of hooks for everyone's towels.

And now for the reason you are coming to Florida. . . SUNSHINE!
The backyard is a slice of paradise. The pool is surrounded by palm trees, with a beautiful Viking Gas Grill- just waiting for you to give it your "BAM".

The house is located down the street from one of the Pirate Water Taxi stops that takes you to Amelie Arena, Channelside, Harbor Island (where you will find American Social and Jackson's), the Columbia Restaurant, the Riverwalk, the Straz, Rick's on the River, Ulele, Sparkman's Wharf and Armature Works.
My house is located easy walking distance to the Convention Center, Bayshore Blvd, the Riverwalk, Amalie Arena, the Columbia Cafe (a Tampa classic), Tampa General Hospital and the University of Tampa.

Our quaint downtown Davis Islands is a under 5 minute walk, and there you will find DI Coffee Bar- where they not only have great coffee, but also a self serve wine bar that you have to try. Make sure you walk all the way through CI Coffee Bar to the outside sitting area, that reminds me of a secret garden and they play live music there on the weekends. There is also TeBella Tea Company, Margarita's Mexican Restaurant, Oggi's Italian Restaurant, Grecian Island Greek Restaurant, Fountain Mediterranean & Sushi Bistro, Thai Island Restaurant, 220 East Restaurant, Farrells Ice Cream Shop, Molly Malone's Irish Pub, Subway Sandwiches and more.

There are bikes and scooters for rent in downtown Davis Islands. We have a pharmacy with a post office, a 7/11, a gas station, hair salon, nail salon, pet store, an auto repair store, and other businesses along the downtown main street. Marjorie Park Tennis Complex and the Davis Island Garden Club are right across the street from my house. Roy Jenkins Pool is two blocks away- perfect for lap swimming. Davis Island is a runner and biker's paradise. You will love it here!

And for those of you coming for Gasparilla (Tampa's version of the Mardi Gras)- the house is directly across the street from the Hillsborough River- where you can watch the Gasparilla flotilla parade and the parade itself is only a few blocks away!

You won't find a better spot to be close to all the action! Whether you are here for a concert, a play, a sporting event, Gasparilla, an event at the Convention Center, or to enjoy our beautiful beaches- this is where you will want to stay.
