Had a short stay at the Roadstar this weekend. The property is nothing special from the outside — motel style with room doors all providing access to the outside rather than an interior hallway. The neighborhood is a little sketchy and the front desk is behind bulletproof glass, which may add to your sense of unease. Staff was quick and professional despite the barrier, and got me to my room quickly. I wasn’t expecting a lot, but my room was actually very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Bed was small but comfy, linens were good, and the bathroom was in great shape. If you can get past the outside, I’d recommend giving the Roadstar a try.

nice, clean, friendly-----too dang COLD!! (outside) but you could not control that. Had to use a bath towel in the shower to keep from slipping, a bathmat would be nice. I will visit again.
