Had a wonderful escape from the cold weather at this lovely home in Apollo Beach. The house was updated nicely with a great pool and dock right outside. The sunsets at this place were stunning. The owners were wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend this rental.

Our visit was well organised and altogether an outstanding experience. We have stayed in a number of Villas across Florida in recent years and this one was by far the best in terms of value, quality as well as location.Everything from enquiry, check in to our day to day living experience was perfect. The big bonus and key differentiators were the kitchen quality, pool size, additional outside patio seating area with BBQ, as well as the jetty for kayaking/fishing on the water.We will definitely look to return.

Mama of 3 active boys!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sunset Villa! The house was more than perfect for our family of 5. Dan and Karen have anticipated everything you might need and more!! We have stayed at several other places and this is by far our favorite. We will be returning!! The backyard views are stunning, sunsets every night. The pool was perfect size and temperature and our boys used it all day! Dan and Karen have provided plenty of pool floaties and noodles. We loved how the windows and doors open completely for an inside outside feel. We took one day to go to the beach, everything we needed was there. They have beach chairs for parents and kids, sand toys and a wagon to haul everything! There was even some sunburn lotions for afterour long day Dan and Karen were extremely responsive to any and all questions we had, they made it feel like we weee family! Thank you so much for sharing your home to us

Canal, pool & kayaks!

It was so nice to be on the canal and have a view, rather than in a neighborhood surrounded only by roads. We enjoyed watching boats going by; and from the dock, we could actually see across Tampa Bay to St. Petersburg!The house was spotless and equipped with everything one might need. Towels were ample and fluffy, and the bedding was so comfortable. Large screen tvs were definitely a plus for us, as were the kayaks and bikes. Dan & Karen were always available to answer questions, both before our booking and throughout our stay, which was much appreciated.We had a great time and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a unique stay.

Absolutely Perfect – We’ll Be Back Every Year!

From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were the very first guests to ever stay here. The home was spotless—truly immaculate—with every detail thoughtfully designed and organized to perfection. We've stayed at many VRBOs over the years, but this experience was on another level.Karen and Dan, the owners, were exceptional hosts. Their communication and support were seamless throughout the entire stay—they responded within seconds anytime we had a question or request, making us feel completely at home.The screened-in pool was pristine and bug-free, and the private dock was a dream for anyone who enjoys fishing. They even provided fishing poles and gear, and we caught at least seven catfish during our trip! The kayaks were another bonus—easy to use and perfect for exploring the beautiful surrounding area.Not a single thing was out of place. The combination of comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality made this vacation one we’ll never forget. We’ll be renting this house every year without a doubt.

Perfection!

We spent a week here for spring break and as an early birthday trip for our almost 13 year old twins. Everything was exactly as described and photographed, and more than met our expectations. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything we could need, the pool and back area provided a more than relaxing space, and the dock was great for fishing. We also saw manatees and dolphins. Kayaks were great for getting out on the water. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Vacation

We would like to thank Dan and Karen for their excellent communication both before and during our 4 week rental at their beautiful house on the canal. We have rented during the month of March for the past 8 years either in AZ or FL. We especially enjoyed the pool which was kept at 89 degrees throughout our stay. The house had everything we needed both inside and outside. The area was very quiet and local restaurants were very good and close to the house with little traffic. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful Week

We had a great time at Sunset Villa. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We fished, kayaked and dispite the cooler than average temps, the well heated pool made it possible to swim everyday! My kids appreciated the beach and pool toys, and I loved watching the wildlife and sunsets over the canal. Karen and Dan were great hosts, quick to respond but honestly we needed very little becase that house was so well appointed. We liked the quite neighboorhood, it made a great homebase for our day trips. We would absolutely stay here again, in fact my daughter was ready to move in and never leave!

Wonderful winter retreat

Our second stay at this gem in Apollo Beach. The home and it's amenities are all that and more that you would need for a relaxing getaway. We had great fun in the pool, chilling in the outdoor lanai and kayaking throughout our stay. We even spotted quite a few manatees in the canal way right off the dock. Karen & Dan are wonderful and incredibly considerate hosts.

Wonderful Stay!

We were celebrating 2 birthdays and Christmas with my son and his gf. The outdoor space was great for setting up our projector and watching games and movies while enjoying the heated pool. The kayaks were so fun and we even saw a manatee in the canal. The kitchen was nice and open to everything with a huge island we could all sit around, which is exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They even offered to mail back a pair of headphones that my son accidentally left behind. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future. perfect for Florida winter.

Incredible Stay!

This property was incredible and probably one of the best we have stayed at. The hosts have thought of everything and you have everything you need for your stay. I just completed an 8 night stay for my son's graduation. Dan & Karen were responsive, hospitable and easy to work with from the first time I contacted them. Transaction was smooth and property is exactly as advertised. We loved making this our home for graduation week. The pool was clean and refreshing. There was plenty of comfortable, outdoor seating. Even the dock has plenty of bench seating to sit with family and enjoy the evening breeze and sunset. Kayaks were easy to use and a fun activity b for the family. Several naps were taken on the hammock. The beds were comfortable. Loved the ceiling fans over the beds!! Kitchen was spacious and everyone was able to prepare food without being in each other's way. Streaming was easy from all the TV's. I was easily able to keep up with my Orioles and watch the games while being away. Always a bonus!! Plenty of towels and a good starter stock of essentials. Check-out was seamless. My son is staying in Tampa, so I will definitely stay here again if the need ever arises for accommodations larger than a hotel room. Our stay was perfect and I recommend both the property and hosts without hesitation. Thanks again, Dan & Karen!!

Beautiful Home

Absolutely loved our 6 day stay here. Kids loved the pool, which was nice and warm even on the cooler days. Air hockey table was a blast. Nice TVs throughout. The hosts really thought of everything. There were so many nice little touches like reading lights in the bunk beds, phone charging stations, and bean bag chairs in the kids room.

Perfect place for R&R

We loved our week long stay at Sunset Villa. The owners have put together a beautiful comfortable place to relax and have family time together. We spent many hours in the pool, chilling in the hammock and kayaking the canalways - even spotting a couple of manatees. This was truly a home away from home - with everything you could need and then some. Communication with the owners was great and instructions/information were clear and organized. Amazing Place and Amazing Owners!

We loved our stay at Sunset Villa! Dan and Karen have put so much work into making this place a relaxing and beautiful place to stay with attention to even the smallest detail. Everything in the home is brand new and kept very clean. There is a Publix super close to go grab groceries or even fully cooked meals, but otherwise a full kitchen to cook in. The beds are all super comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms supplied with any bedding or towels you could need. We LOVED the pool and our kids swam almost every moment we were not away sightseeing. There’s also a dock right in the backyard out to the channel to sit at and watch for manatees or kayaks all ready for a nice outing in the channel. The kids loved the air hockey table and many board games they have available. It’s such a relaxing place to come back to after going and visiting a beautiful Gulf-side beach or heading up to Busch Gardens for a theme park day. We flew in to FL and were therefore unable to bring things like umbrellas, beach toys, beach chairs, or a cooler, but Dan and Karen have this ready for your use and these items made our beach days SO much more enjoyable with our 3 kids! The neighborhood is also nice and quiet. Last but not least, Dan and Karen are the best hosts. If we had a question, they were available to answer it. They are kind and we were thankful we rented from them. Thanks again for our amazing family vacation to the Gulf!

Wow! Can't wait to come back!

Our stay was amazing. From the minute you walk through the front door, you feel relaxed. The home is just as listed, newly updated and beautiful inside and out. Our favorite features were the 5 sliders that lead to the pool area and loved that we could still be part of the conversation while cooking in the kitchen. The desk in the bedroom was comfortable to work remotely while my husband spent his time fishing on the dock and kayaking. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and sunsets from the pool, but it was also nice to have a couple good spots close by for some fun and live music. Dan and Karen were responsive and very welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!
