Located in heart of not a great area, was using it as a stopover rest on way to Bangkok, staff was absolutely terrific, very helpful and quick, lobby of marble and elegance, Room was nice, heated bidet toilet, always nice, but it ends there. The room smelled of sewage most of the night, so bad that at one point I was trying to open windows to just to breath. I solved the issue by running water in the sink, shower and tub. That finally stopped it. The water had dried up in the p traps due to lack of use and the smell of sewage was venting into the room because no water to “trap” the smell. Headed out the next day hoping not to come down with Leptospirosis or Hepatitis. One more thing, pillow comforter was nice, mattress was a hard as a board.

Great place to stay, very close to airport around 15 drive. Convenient location for public transportation, bus stops just across the street or 100 feet away. Not close to train stations but buses and taxi or uber works well! Variety choices on breakfast, self served fresh fruit juice, yummy and healthy! Recommended!!!

The lobby is beautiful, breakfast was great and there is a convenient store across, another one and grocery store near by. Water filtration station on each floor is nice. The rooms are dated, dirty carpets and all lamp shades are stained. The water came out when shower because there is only half glass door for bathtub.

These ‘old school’ hotels with big rooms are a rarity nowadays. Good price with good breakfast included and very clean. Staff were friendly and I had room cleaned everyday, bit dated but very clean. The breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from as well. The only downside is convenience of public transportation, understandable also as the area is undergoing a big infrastructure development with adding the mrt, so give it a few more years and it will be just as convenient to get around as Taipei.

When I booked this hotel I was worried this would be a bad hotel because of the price. I was wrong, everything about this hotel was great! I will say due to early flight that I was unable to enjoy the breakfast, so I have no review from that. The moment I was dropped off from taxi, I had a wonderful experience. Speaking of taxi, the cost is about 500 tiawan or 15 usd from Airport. I assume most places in Taiwan is great, this is a beautiful country! But for the value, you will not find a better stay. Great staff, beautiful hotel, rooms so nice and beds are so comfortable, and 7 11 across the steet for those checking in late or in need of coffee for those early flights. I will stay there each time I come back.
