Hotels with Shopping in Taranto

As it is out of town - there is no easy access to the railway station at Monopoli which meant an expensive taxi ride (30 Euros) each way. The taxi's however were prompt and reliable with very courteous drivers. Very few restaurants on site other than snacks being offered at the bar areas at certain times with a little cafe within walking distance out of the site. Their buffet evening meal for 35 Euros each included wine. The bar area was lovely in the evening for a drink and a lovely view. We didn't use the spa facilities. The pool was kept immaculate and was one of the nicest we have had a hotel for a long time. There was no coffee making facilities in the room which was a disappointment, however excellent buffet breakfast with unlimited proper Italian coffee being made fresh to order and amazingly quickly by their barista!! There is now a service charge (tip) added to the cost of the hotel room so we were a little surprised this wasn't included in the original quote from Expedia. (around 200 Euros). But upon Googling it seems a new cost which is the new norm. Overall, would recommend this hotel with the caveats above. There is parking on site, but we didn't hire a car so didn't need this.

A luxury experience throughout. Excellent service.
