Lovely building. Rooms clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was filling - lots of choice and well cooked. Only negative would be that soundproofing isn’t the best in the rooms.

Great stay, my room was lovely, staff were friendly and breakfast was really good quality. There is a pub directly opposite and my room faced it so there was a bit of noise and not quite as peaceful as I was hoping. No air con in the rooms probably due to the age but the fan provided was of good quality. Beds really comfy and I got a good nights sleep. Would reccommend

A heritage property in the town centre. In decent condition but to recognise its price point and position, a refresh of interior finishing would benefit, The staff are excellent, I interacted with housekeeping, reception, night porter and breakfast team, all are exceptionally friendly, the receptionist in particular was really very helpful and kind.

Amazing huge room with wonderful views, really comfy bed, clean bright modern bathroom. Extremely lovely stay at The Castle overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the parking is right outside, and breakfast was chilled and relaxed with plenty of eating options. Can't wait to stay again!
