Charming 18th Century House with Pets Allowed

In a small village, this 18th-century Bourbonnais-style house has been fully restored. Located near the owners' main house (accessed via a shared first gate), it is independent, separated from the owners' house by an electric gate. The atmosphere is both authentic, with traditional stone and wood materials, and contemporary, with comfort and carefully chosen decor.

On the ground floor, the living area comprises an open-plan kitchen with a living room and wood-burning stove, and a shower room/WC. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms in the converted attic: one bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm) and one bedroom with two single beds (90 cm). Electric heating with reversible air conditioning. Enclosed courtyard, terrace with electric griddle, parking, and a small vegetable garden are available for guests. The A71 motorway is 18 km away. Vichy, a spa town, is 35 km away. Gannat is 19 km away. Charroux, listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France," is 7 km away. Ebreuil, lake and canoeing 13 km away.

Lovely French stay

Would highly recommend. Very well equipped, beautifully converted French cottage.We had a comfortable stay and everything we needed. Christelle and Lionel were very welcoming and left some lovely,local goodies for us. A peaceful patio area with patio furniture,and parking. Location was perfect.Quite rural but within easy reach to villages for bakeries and restaurants. Charroux is a gorgeous medieval village and only a 7min drive. A clear water river perfect for visiting with children is at Jenzat,again,only about a 10min drive. La Ferme de St Sebastian is a must do restaurant visit.A fantastic meal and experience.

Petite maison très agreable et aménagée avec gout. Tres bien equipee également. Les propriétaires sont tres attentionnés (petit cadeau de bienvenue en fonction de l'âge se notre fille, tres apreciable) et disponibles si besoin. Chambre parental en mezzanine et la chambre enfant en enfilade (pas genant pour nous). Il faut juste faire attention pour les locataires avec un chien car les propriétaires passent par la cour pour rentrer chez eux. Endroit un peu perdu mais trés au calme (supermarché à 15mins). Beaucoup de balades et rando à faire. Nous recommandons ce gite!
