French gite

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The gite was clean and tidy and had everthing you needed for a pleasant stay The gite was in a lovely quiet area and the garden was brilliant So peaceful. It was close enough to get to all the D day attractions and beaches . Yohann lived next door and was there if you needed anything but was not intrusive .

Calm Rural Setting, but minutes from everything

Staying at Terre-et-Marais was a wonderful experience for our group. We were a mixed group of extended family--6 adults and 1 child--in Normandy for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, and looking for someplace with enough space for all of us to spread out and relax when we weren't out and about. Yohann's property fit the bill excellently. Minutes outside of Carentan (an important Operation Overlord objective in its own right), it was only about 20-30 minutes from Utah Beach & Sainte Mere Eglise, and just a bit further for Omaha Beach/Pointe du Hoc. Traffic in that particular area was minimal, so getting in and out was simple. There was a large grocery store within about 10-15 minutes as well. It was in all respects an ideal location. The house itself was clean and spacious, with a good-sized kitchen. There are 1.5 bathrooms, but even with 7 people, we were able to make it work fairly easily. The main bathroom has both a tub and a shower. The only misunderstanding that came up for us was that the house was listed as having a washer and dryer. As Americans, we interpreted that as meaning it had a tumble dryer. That was not the case. The washer spun the clothes, but did not seem to have any other dryer option. But that was not a significant issue for us. Yohann was a great host, in that he was available when needed, but respected our privacy. He was very helpful and kind, and I highly recommend his property.

Review of our stay in st gorge de Bohon

Four adults and three children stayed at the gite, it was very clean and very comfortable for us all. There was no kettle when we got there but we asked the owner and he gave us one straight away. The owner was around if we needed him and he was very relaxed and helpful. We had trouble mastering the heating and it took us a few days to get used to it, even though we had been shown we still were unsure so asked the owner again. It may be beneficial to have some instructions in the book about this to save this happening again to others. The garden was gorgeous and it was a very peaceful area; our children made friends with a neighbour who had chickens and goats and he gave us fresh eggs during our stay which was lovely! The neighbors also had a lovely dog who played with the children outside the house, it was quite safe as it was a dead end. We aware also privalidged to have been one of the first to use the fresh bread machine in the village, 1 euro for a baguette.. yummy! We used the bbq there on the last night- that was fab. We had cider left for us to drink, which was a nice touch, thank you. We will definitely like to return.

Excellent vacation spot

The house is very convenient for large families - lits of space and a big garden. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and happy to have so much space to run free. The house is located in a very quiet and peaceful area - perfect for relaxing. It is situated more or less in the middle between the east and west coast of Cotentin - making it s perfect base for exploring the region. The host was very kind and even provided us with fresh eggs from his chicken.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette location. La maison est grande, propre et bien équipée comme décrite dans le lien (attention, le séche linge cité dans l' annonce est un étendoir).Les draps et serviettes fournies sont appréciés. L'endroit est vraiment très calme et reposant.Le jardin est très bien entretenu et très agréable. Le propriétaire est vraiment gentil et très serviable (nous avons une panne de radiateur il a changé de suite) Merci encore pour ce séjour Nous le conseillons fortement.

Nous avons passé le réveillon du nouvel an à deux familles dans ce logement. L'espace est appréciable pour que tout le monde trouve sa place. En cette saison, n'hésitez pas à prévoir un chauffage avec la cheminée pour une ambiance chaleureuse.

Tout était parfait, nous recherchions le calme et la tranquillité, nous avons été servi. Une bien jolie maison pour une grande famille comme la notre. Seul petite chose qu'il serait bien de rajouté, c'est un sèche linge. Sinon tout était au top :)

Idéal pour un séjour entre amis ou en famille. Le gîte est très spacieux avec le plaisir du feu de bois dans la salle à manger, séparée du salon. Le jardin est bien entretenu et la cour peut accueillir plusieurs voitures. Situation géographique intéressante pour visiter le Cotentin sans faire trop de kilomètres
