We booked two rooms at Quality Inn Moultrie through Expedia. The hotel initially marked our reservation as a no-show but accepted our check-in the following day. Upon arrival we found exposed electrical wiring in an open junction box directly outside our room door, mold and water damage on the bathroom ceiling, a severely corroded and unsanitary bathtub drain, and a strong smoke odor in designated non-smoking rooms. These conditions are documented with photographs. We vacated the property and secured alternative accommodations at our own expense. The hotel manager denied our refund request despite being made aware of these conditions. Expedia also denied our refund request despite photographic evidence. The hotel accepted our check-in and occupancy yet still attempted to use a no-show policy to deny resolution. We are pursuing this matter through formal legal channels.
