When we checked in, we were asked for an $80 cash deposit even though we already paid for the room. We were also told we had to pay a Pet Fee. The room was disgusting. There were clumps of dust & hair under the beds as well as a few beer bottle caps. The sheets were clean but stained. The shower had hair in it, and there was an overall smell to the room. We could hear the kids nextdoor to us through the wall as if they were in the same room as us. The general area was sketchy - lots of sirens, cars honking their horns. When we checked out at 5am, we had to ring the office doorbell multiple times before the same guy that checked us in finally came to the window. He seemed irritated that we woke him up to get our $80 back. Never again will we stay at any OYO.
The owner was a money grubbing non caring person. I had a emergency come up at home with family and needed to check out early and he wouldn’t refund my money for the unused nights I had paid for and another tenant who was staying there a couple rooms down I had talked to and we exchange numbers let me know he rented my room to someone else that night. I told him the smoke alarm wasn’t installed and was laying on the dresser and he shrugged his shoulders. He charged me extra for a dog and for a smoking room when I didn’t even smoke or have a dog. I told him I would take a smoking room because he was going to make me pay him a $80.00 smoking deposit for the nonsmoking room after I already paid for my stay on Expedia and I told I didn’t have the money to pay for more than I already paid so what did I have to do he said he didn’t care he just wanted money. I said that I could see that. I will never stay at oyo again it was my first and last time. I checked out before the rules of checkout was posted and it was just a awful experience with folks that didn’t care about hospitality whatsoever. Shame on OYO! Now for Expedia, I paid for stay insurance and I had a emergency that cancelled out my entire stay so I only used one night of the stay and had to drive all the way back home and nobody ever wants that to happen especially on new year’s holidays but I did nevertheless and filled out all things on app for my insurance claim and it kept having issues with website nor phones
