The house is at the end of a quiet country street and has a good sized front and back fenced grassy yard if you bring your dog and lots of parking. It is about 10 minutes easy drive north of the Stanthorpe town centre so very convenient to get out and about. There are also some food shops nearby and the lovely Summit Estate winery is very close so you can visit for wine and a charcuterie box to watch the sunset over the vines on Friday or Saturday arvo/early evening. The house is furnished with a very large comfy couch and very large smart TV, dining table, books/dvds/games, good size kitchen, laundry, 3 bedrooms with comfy beds and lots of extra blankets and pillows and a good size bathroom. There is a good size deck with timber chairs that gets the warming north and west sun for winter and the front door has a keypad for entry so you don't need to bother with keys on arrival and departure. The slow combustion fireplace was already warming the house for us when we arrived which was lovely (as was the cheese/hommus/crackers plate in the fridge). The fireplace kept the house very cosy for the weekend - including overnight - and there was a good supply of firewood provided.Teresa, the property manager, lives next door and she and her two furbabies welcomed us over the fence on our first afternoon. We've been visiting Stanthorpe each winter for many years and would recommend Roslyn's cottage to anyone wanting a clean, comfy and quiet place to stay with your furbaby.
