The beautiful villa offers extremely comfortable living, mixed with the charm of an old Canarian finca, in the sought-after exclusive quiet location of Los Mojones Puerto del Carmen. Only a 10 minute walk to the main beach and the old town.
Enjoy the large heated pool facing south, which offers complete privacy. The garden with typical Canarian flora, the large furnished terrace for eating together, barbecuing, sunbathing and spending time outdoors.

Villa Margarita in Puerto del Carmen

We were a party of 5 people. We found the villa spacious particularly with lots of out door space. There were areas both in sun and shade. You could hire the swimming pool heated. There is a BBQ outdoors which we used. The kitchen facilities were great and comes very well equipped. The property is a short walk to the old town and close to local bus stops. A short drive to the airport approx 20 euro via taxi. Please note the air conditioning must be paid for in cash using a pay as you go metre box in the property.Local supermarkets and shops close by. We would consider staying again and the owner is very attentive and easy to contact.

Great villa, great location, has everything you need as a family and great with a baby. Could be a little cleaner, quite dusty and noticed under the couch and furniture hadn’t been cleaned/ swept when little baby hands were grabbing old food/sweets from under the couch but overall very happy and would stay again

Highly Recommend

Our first time booking a villa instead of apartment. Completely converted! Property was in a fantastic location, 5 minutest to Biosfera,10 minute stroll to new town, maybe 12 to new town. Lidl 5 min walk and the trolley bag provided was well used! Casa Margarita is an older property with all the quirks and charm you would expect. Extremely spacious - we are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers so everyone having their own room and space was ideal. The two twin rooms interconnect which was great for our daughters and they shared the bathroom adjacent. My son had the second double with his own en suite. Our master was so large and airy with a door leading out to the side garden. The 5th bedroom is a small single off the living area, we didn't need it but it was handy for storing cases. I understand this is being extended soon to make another twin. Kitchen had everything you could need and we cooked breakfast and lunch most days. Lounge area very comfortable and cosy in the evenings. The pool area was outstanding with so many options of seating/sunbathing/eating areas etc. We made great use of the BBQ and outdoor oven. Pool was lovely, had small issue with heating but that was resolved via text with Maik who was very responsive. Harry, who called twice a week to clean/maintain pool, had own entrance via back gate. He gave us great advice on places to visit on island. We paid the extra for the pool heating and it was needed during our stay in early June. We did not need the aircon.

Stunning Cozy Villa, perfect location

We booked for a week starting the 24th March to get away from the grim British weather. Typically we arrived to an unseasonal down pour on our first day which cleared by day 2. The villa on arrival was very clean, absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for your stay. No need to pack a hairdryer as there is one in each of the three bathrooms. We arrived in the early evening and needed to get some groceries, conveniently there is a large shopping cart with shopping bags behind the front door. There is a Lidl, 2 Spar's and Hyper-dino supermarket all within walking distance of the villa (car rental really is not necessary as the local taxi's were very cheap and all of which were familiar with the villa's location). We opted to pay the very reasonable pool heating fee as it is a little cooler in March and it was worth every cent. The pool was like getting into a warm bath :-) The pool was expertly cleaned twice during our stay, the villa's gardens to the rear of the property are beautiful, we were visited by wild parakeets, Egret and doves every morning while enjoying a coffee under the large shaded patio area which hosts a number of seating areas to get out of the sun. Bin's were collected nightly from the communal area located less than 50 yards of the villa (turn right out of the road, located on a small traffic island) Maik was extremely helpful and a great host and was in contact with us during our stay to ensure we were enjoying. 100% recommend

Comfortable, spacious villa in quiet, convenient location.

Very comfortable and spacious villa in a quiet location. Within a 5 minute walk of a Lidl, and a 10-15 minute walk to the harbour, beach and old town area. Most attractions on the island were within a 30 minute drive, and it was only a 10 minute drive from the airport. The villa itself is nicely furnished and well equipped. As a couple we were very comfortable and happy there. There were 4 sunloungers (not as photographed, but more comfortable as you could lie on your front or back), but larger parties might find they need more sunloungers and cushions. Lots of other seating and dining options around the pool area and terrace though. The pool area was so welcoming that we enjoyed coming back from sightseeing to spend time there. We paid for 3 days' pool heating but then had it switched off and found it fine for swimming (in January), a similar temperature to the sea. It was next to a road, but a quiet, one-way side street in a residential area. A mention has been made in previous reviews of the top deck of coaches being able to see into the pool area, but we found these occasional coaches seemed to be empty, having discharged passengers elsewhere. We found the pool area to be very private, although it should be noted there is a security camera (not in constant use) covering the pool area. There was enough hot water for the 2 of us, but on less sunny days we wondered if larger families would find it sufficient. Maik always responded to any queries promptly.

The villa has a wonderful outside space, options of places to sit in and out of the shade & the pool is a lovely size. Inside we were surprised to learn that the AC was only in the living room & 1 bedroom. It’s important to let people know that to use it it’s €1 for 30 mins, I think would be useful to add to the listing. No fans are available so it can get a bit hot at night. The TV also didn’t work from day 1, this was eventually fixed on the last night. We know the owner is going to do some work on the villa, this will make a big difference as it’s in a great location!

An enjoyable stay at Villa Margarita

A lovely villa within a nice quiet area with off road parking. The villa is close to restaurants and bars and within walking distance of around 10-15 minutes. Taxi prices around €4-5 if you can’t be bothered to climb the hill after a night out, Villa was very spacious for 4 of us and well equipped. We paid extra for pool heating, quite expensive but well worth it as I hate a cold pool. 2 fans available and the air con only in the lounge and main bedroom, which are coin operated. We only used the air con once as we couldn’t find the remote control and it wasn’t set cool enough. No problem though no stress we went out and brought a fan for comfort as the nights were very hot. Excellent communication from Maik before, throughout and after our stay. He kindly arranged for the cleaners to come early on our arrival so we could check in early. We had no problems at the villa during our stay, we had everything we needed. Having been to Lanzarote staying in a villa for the past 5 years, this is our favourite villa for space and location. We prefer the old town for the choice of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Thanks Maik see you again soon .

Great base

A great place to base yourself to not only see Puerto Del Carmen but, especially if you have a car, the whole island. The villa is spacious, comfortable with a great outdoor seating/dining area and a good size pool. Both local shops and the main strip are in walking distance. I know the owner is looking to upgrade some areas of the villa in Winter 23 which will make it even better. Maik happily dealt with any queries we had too. A great holiday

Brilliant Villa, superb location, great for families!

Having read some of the reviews we booked the Villa for our summer holiday for August 2022. Before our departure from the UK, the owner was amazing. We had numerous conversations over what to do, what was included and where to go. Nothing was too much of a problem. Upon arrival, we were earlier than the time agreed, but the owner had set aside a room for us to place our luggage in which was a huge help. The airport to Villa distance was only 10-12mins and €15. After spending the afternoon exploring the town we returned as soon as the Villa was ready. The Villa itself is huge! Much bigger than we expected. There are 4 double bedrooms, two with en-suites. There is a smaller single room that we used to store the luggage in but would be great for a small child. The kitchen is nice, clean, well equipped and very well lit. Home from home! There is everything there that you need including a washing machine should you need to clean anything during your stay. There‘s also a separate dining room looking out onto the outdoor patio as well a large lounge with huge corner sofa, large flat screen TV and DVD player. This room is also air conditioned. The outdoor space is brilliant. The pool is large, great for swimmers and non swimmers with a deep and shallow end complete with steps to access the pool also. There is a lovely shaded area with outdoor corner sofa, two outdoor dining sets and a fab stone built BBQ that we used a few times. There is a small secluded garden to the rear also, well kept and clean. There is a large local Lidl supermarket and a well equipped Spar only 5 minutes so grocery shopping is never a problem. The main beach front and commercial area is a short 10 minute walk, same distance to the smaller old town. There are an abundance of restaurants, bars, shops, cafes and other amenities all within short walking distance. It is all down hill from the Villa so we often opted for a taxi on return. Taxi ride from the town centre is around €3-€5 maximum Remember your masks - all public transport and medical centres require you to wear them - just a heads up. If you’re looking to book any trips, there are numerous vendors in the town. All speak good English and all were very helpful The Villa overall is fabulous, the owners are great and very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this Villa to anyone looking at a holiday rental that is walking distance in to the town centre and beach front.

Look forward to coming back

We have just returned from this Villa and have not been disappointed, I have read some of the more resent reviews and I can say we do not agree with the more negative. This villa is in a great part of town away from the crowds but close enough to walk to. It is an older building and not all shiny and new and so has character and makes you feel comfortable to put your feet up. Yes there are a couple of things that could be done but this is reflected in the price! We stayed in a similar villa same area last year and that was a lot more! Maik was great giving info returning calls there was just 1 and and asking if we needed anything and all ok on more than 1 occasion he asked for an arrival time and had the cleaner come in early so we could arrive before mid day We love the islands flight time, temperatures, things to do, and a pool in a private property, this Villa ticked all our boxes and I’m sure we will be back Thank you Maik :) Leigh

Homely villa

The outside space is well laid out and well furnished, although you do get occasional traffic fumes. Pool heating was expensive, but well worth it, it made the pool extremely pleasant. Inside the villa was spacious. It had excellent kitchen facilities and equipment. Perfect for us because we love cooking. It was very cool inside, but the weather was not too good during our stay. Also it was very dark inside. The situation is good. Less than 5 min walk to Lidl, about 10 minutes to the old town and harbour and 15 minutes to the strip.

Fabulous Holiday

We had a great stay at the property! I’m so sorry the previous reviewer didn’t enjoy their stay, and I’m not sure what happened in between, but it’s almost as if we’re talking about two different villas. As we were staying in October we didn’t require air conditioning so I can’t comment on that. The Wi-Fi was GREAT! Better than what we have back in the UK. Coaches can see into the pool area but we found that they were infrequent and more than not, empty. It’s not like they park up and start taking photos… We had a morning flight and the owner had kindly allowed us to check in early. When we arrived the property manager was fixing the TV to ensure we had British channels. We don’t go on holiday to watch TV so it was never actually turned on. A nice gesture though. We definitely did have a door handle, and there were no blown lightbulbs or cobwebs/dirt. The bunk room is a bit grim, to be fair, but as there were only four of us staying we only used it to store suitcases. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. We ate out in the evenings though so never really “cooked”. However, instructions for the microwave and oven would’ve been useful. Boiling an egg on the hob took us forever and I couldn’t manage to heat anything in the microwave (I’m really not as stupid as I sound). We had coat hangers. I’m not sure you’re supposed to put paper down the loo anywhere in Lanzarote? I’m not an expert though and don’t intend to google ‘sewage systems Lanzarote’. As for the pool….it was heaven! Warm, clean, and the pool man came twice a week. There are mini mosaic tile missing but I can’t say it ruined my holiday. Maybe the outdoor furniture had been replaced but ours was great. The whole pool area was the best bit of the property. Lovely places to have lunch/read/play cards etc throughout the day. Personal positives were the location. We’ve stayed in the area previously so have learnt all the short cuts to the beach. Max 10-minute walk to our favourite one. Loads of lovely restaurants in the old town. Great Lidl 5 minutes away. In conclusion, no, it doesn’t have a 5*boutique hotel vibe. But I’d looked at the photos so knew what we were getting. We wanted sun, fun, and a handy (no car required) location for a well-deserved rest – exactly what we got!

What a terrible disappointment!

I feel it necessary to expand on some items in the property description. Firstly, there are only 2 inverter air conditioning units installed, one in the lounge and one in the large bedroom, insufficient for a property which claims to sleep 9. Secondly, wi-fi is not universally available, and lastly, the pool area is not so private. Coaches are not a rarity on the busy road and can see in. Originally 4 of us were going but through Covid, only two of went. The new host has refused a refund of €336 for reduced number. On arrival, we were greeted by a front door with no handle, just the spindle sticking out which had been bent down. The outdoor wrecker door lock only accessible and working from the outside. A concern in the event of a fire. Inside was dirty and dark, light bulbs missing or blown and cobwebs everywhere. It appeared it hadn’t been cleaned for months. Other doors had no handles and several to the outside were locked with no keys, another fire risk. We were told that the cleaner, who when she arrived worked really hard, couldn’t put a mattress cover on our bed as she couldn’t access the bedroom where they were meant to be kept. This room, with 2 bunk beds looked like a jail cell The mattress protector never arrived – very hygienic! In the kitchen, a draw and cupboard handle had been broken off and unhygienically, had band aid plasters covering the screws. The property isn’t attached to modern sewage facilities, and we were instructed not to put certain items down the toilet. The bin provided had no bin bag, nor all the other bins. No toilet brush, no basin stopper, no ventilation and no cleaning products about. Take your own clothes hangers! No First Aid box, (illegal?) no instructions about anything. We removed the pool cover and flock and algae appeared. Many of the tiny mosaic tiles were missing and surround slippery. There was outdoor rattan furniture under the logia which was rotten and falling apart. Pool couldn’t be used for 6 days. Still filthy on leaving. Only 4 dirty sun beds. Worst villa we have stayed at for the last 20 years. PS Burglar alarm doesn't work.

Fabulous stay!

We had a brilliant stay at the villa during half term. We would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend to friends and family. The villa was so well equipped. It was more spacious in real life than on the website and the outdoor space was fabulous. The option to have pool heating at the end of October was great, although we did have brilliant weather anyway. The location of the villa meant we didn’t need to hire a car. The main centre was 10 mins walk away. There is a Lidl and Spar 5 mins walk away and the beach was about 13 mins walk away. On the times we didn’t want to walk cabs were easy to grab and only cost €3 from the beach. We also hired bikes and rode along the promenade one day which was a nice thing to do. The airport is no more than 10 mins drive away which meant we were at the villa an hour after we’d landed, a big bonus in our opinion. The owner, Nick, was very contactable. And we also had a visit from the management company to check if everything was all ok. We were very impressed with this and have not experienced this in any other villa. The only small negative things we came across is that on the website it said that internet was available which we took to mean WiFi but when we arrived it actually transpired that 3G was available but if you wanted WiFi then you needed to pay a daily rate. This was also the same for fans in the bedrooms too which we thought was a bit of a shame. Also, we felt the duvets on the twin beds were pretty thick and could have done with being “summer” duvets. That aside, we really did enjoy our stay at the villa and could not recommend highly enough!
