Tofino Eco Waterfront Condo – Conscious Coastal Living in the Heart of Town



Welcome to Tofino’s environmentally friendly waterfront accommodation, thoughtfully designed to support both the land and community. This newly renovated bachelor condo proudly donates 1% to the local Tla-o-qui-aht Nation’s Tribal Parks Allies program, helping protect the ecosystems that make this region so special.

Located just next to the downtown core, this bright waterfront suite offers stunning harbour views and is steps to all amenities, shopping, restaurants, and local experiences. It’s an ideal home base to rest, recharge, and reconnect after exploring the ocean, forests, trails, and town.

THE SPACE

At 500 square feet, this spacious bachelor suite is designed with a conscious environmental footprint in mind while still offering comfort and functionality. The layout includes a full kitchen, bathroom, living area, dining space, and sleeping area, all filled with natural light.

Where possible, items have been thrifted to deter first-hand purchasing. Linens are new and made from recycled microfibre, paired with organic cotton duvet covers. Pillows are filled with organic kapok fibre. The propane fireplace has been intentionally capped to avoid promoting fossil fuels.

Coffee is locally sourced from Tofino Coffee, and hand and dish soap is made locally by Tamara at The Hobbyist.



ACCESS

Guest access is via keypad entry, with access to the entire condo.

The building is located directly on Tofino’s working harbour and has two entry options:
• Ground floor entrance with wheelchair-friendly ramp
• Upper parking lot entrance with a set of stairs



LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT

The living space is bright and welcoming, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.

• BYOP (bring your own passwords for streaming apps)



OUTDOORS

Step onto your private balcony, furnished with two chairs — perfect for morning coffees, sunset drinks, and watching harbour activity throughout the day.

The queen-sized bed is tucked into a cozy nook (one side against the wall, as pictured).
• Canadian-made Endy mattress for optimal comfort
• Organic cotton duvet covers
• Pull-out couch converts to a queen bed for additional sleeping flexibility



KITCHEN

The full kitchen is equipped for cooking while on vacation, featuring:
• Full-size oven, fridge, and dishwasher
• Toaster oven and Instant Pot
• Salt, pepper, tea, and coffee provided

LOCATION

Fred Tibbs Waterfront Condo is located in the heart of Tofino, overlooking First Street Dock, where guests can access:
• Kayak launch
• Picnic area
• Dock access

This prime location allows you to park once and explore downtown car-free. Enjoy stunning views of the ocean inlet harbour and surrounding mountain range. At the base of the building is Savary Island Pie Co., perfect for morning coffee and snacks.



INTERACTION

The condo is set up for self check-in and independent stays.
Blue Crush Vacation Rentals is available during business hours should you need assistance.



DIRECTIONS

From Vancouver, begin your journey at Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Enjoy scenic ocean views during the 1.5-hour ferry ride to Departure Bay in Nanaimo.

From Nanaimo, take either the Inland Highway or the scenic Old Island Highway toward Port Alberni, passing Coombs (Goats on the Roof) and Cathedral Grove Provincial Park. Port Alberni is a great place to stop for gas and groceries.

Continue west past Sproat Lake and Mackenzie Lake, turning right at the junction toward Tofino/Ucluelet. The final stretch winds through Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, delivering you into the heart of Tofino.



TRANSPORTATION

Enjoy safe and scenic travel options with a designated multi-use path (us locals call it the MUP), perfect for walkers, bikers, joggers and strollers. During summer, take advantage of the free shuttle bus from town to the info center. Other transportation options include:
• Public bus transit connecting Tofino and Ucluelet
• Bike rentals including pedal bikes and e-bikes
• Ride share via Coastal Rides app and Tofino Taxi (limited driver)
• Pre-arranged Tiki Bus and Pacific Rim Navigators for larger groups
• Budget Rental Cars available at Tofino Airport (pre-arranged)
• EVO Car Rental, located at Tofino Resort & Marina

To get to Tofino and Ucluelet from the mainland, you need to take a ferry to Nanaimo or Victoria. From there, it’s a drive. Anywhere from 3–5 hours. You can also fly into the airport with Pacific Coastal Airlines or Harbour Air (the flight is stunning and so quick!).



ECO INITIATIVES

The owner of Eco Condo has purposefully made design and staging choices to reduce environmental impact, including:
• Composting program
• Biodegradable garbage liners
• Eclectic mix of second-hand dishware

We hope these thoughtful touches add meaning and comfort to your stay.



PUP PATROL

Pet friendly. Potentially open to two dogs — please reach out in advance.
We provide dog towels, a small bed, and dog bowls.

Ucluelet and Tofino are dog heaven, with many trails and beaches nearby. Please ensure pets do not chase wildlife such as shorebirds. Further instructions are provided in the house guide.
$50 per dog before fees.



BOOKING POLICIES

• Bookings are subject to a cleaning fee plus GST, PST and MRDT (Municipal) tax.
• During the peak summer season (June 15 – Sept 15), houses have a 3 night minimum (or more) stay must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you book and create a one night gap, we will contact you to shuffle the reservation ahead.
• Mid-season rates apply on Winter long weekends and during Christmas.
• 3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays
• 5-10% discount for 7 nights or more not during peak season; reach out for it to be applied
• Monthly stays: PST and MRDT do not apply and the system service fee will be discounted so please reach out for a quote.
• Cancellation: 100% refund less $50 cancellation fee plus tax if cancelled more than 30 days before arrival. Non refundable if cancelled within 30 days of check-in. The different travel websites state slightly different different as they are pre set options; this policy takes precedence.
• Direct Booking Damage Deposit: A damage deposit is held (not charged) the day of check in and released 5 business days after check out as long as no damage has been incurred if you are booking direct.



INSURANCE

When booking direct, our properties are protected by TRUVI, the digital trust platform that enables hosts and guests to confidently transact in the short-term rental space. Verification is required prior to check-in.

The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, food prep utensils and eating utensils. There were even a few containers for leftovers.There was a limited pantry, including olive oil, salt, pepper – the sort of stuff that's essential for cooking, but hard to buy in small enough quantities for a short stay. There was also coffee and some specialty teas – I really appreciated the white tea, since I don't tolerate black tea very well.The place was nice and close to the city core, making it great for getting around on foot.

An Amazing Get-a-Way!

We loved everything about this Waterfront condo. Erika was a very conscientious host and the accommodations were everything we needed and more! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the boats and sea planes come and go. Also we loved the proximity to the shops and restaurants in Tofino which were only a few minutes stroll away. We totally enjoyed our stay and will recommend this vacation spot to our friends and family.

Gorgeous Sunset Views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy little eco-condo! The highlight was drinking our wine on the patio as we watched the sunset over the harbour with a seal swimming by. Our girls loved playing on the patio with the ocean views, and we all slept comfortably -- infant in her travel crib, toddler on the trundle bed, and us in the queen size. The details were very thoughtful. Local soaps and shampoos smelled amazing, high quality coffee and cooking oils provided. Linen robes provided for lounging. Beach towels in the drawers. Puzzles and books for entertainment. Clear communication about check-in and expectations. Felt very welcoming. Only thing to note: for sleeping adults the couch wouldn't be overly comfortable, but we feel it is perfect for a family with kids sleeping there. The bed itself was very comfortable. Thank you so much for a memorable stay! We really hope to be back soon!
