It’s a beautiful property with great amenities. Staff was fantastic. Reign (restaurant) was delicious. Walkable to most downtown attractions. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Property is great but the rooms are a bit beaten up with less than favorable A/C. Need dehumidifiers in the rooms they get very humid. Otherwise property is amazing

Room directly, and I mean directly, attached to the elevator banks. Nonstop noise sounded like a plane or railroad train was in the room 24/7. Did I pay a bargain rate or something? I don’t think so. Also bathrooms ridiculously small and dated.

Great location, clean and friendly staff

Booked a one night stay in a luxury king room. Line up to checkin but it went very quickly and smooth . Staff very friendly. Disappointed in the room as it was very small and so was the bathroom. The room was so hot and the air conditioning was very poor so much that we asked for a fan. Bed was reasonably comfortable. I would stay again at the hotel especially for the location, as it was clean and staff were friendly but it was not worth paying the extra for a Luxory room.

I stayed at the Fairmont Royal York in late June/early July and had reserved a King Bed room in advance. Upon our late-evening arrival, we were surprised to find that our room was outfitted with a Queen Bed instead. When we approached the front desk to clarify, we were informed that no King Bed rooms were available at the time. However, we were assured that we would be moved to a King Bed room with an upgraded view the following day and that we would be notified via text once it was ready. Unfortunately, we never received any notification. After waiting the majority of the day, I returned to the front desk around 4:00 PM and encountered a line that took over 30 minutes to get through, only to be told that our new room had already been ready. When we finally moved, the new room was pleasant, but the “upgraded view” was simply the side of a neighboring building. I’ve had consistently positive experiences with Fairmont properties in the past, which made this stay particularly disappointing. The room type we booked was not available upon arrival, communication was lacking, and there was minimal effort to rectify the situation or provide meaningful compensation for the inconvenience.
