The check in procedure was cumbersome. You have to email them some details including your ID and a selfie. You also pay the damage deposit via PayPal before they send you the check in details. Note that contrary to the information from Expedia, there is no front desk for the accommodation. The security people there do not have anything to do with check in. Everything has to be done remotely. Once the check-in hassle was over, the studio apartment was nice. It had all the usual amenities including a cooker, microwave and utensils. The apartment was on the 13th floor of a condo in the heart of Yonge Street in Downtown Toronto with all the shops and restaurants. Perfect for the University and hospitals. The host needs to improve on the check-in process. The damage deposit was refunded after a few days.

The location, cleanliness, and overal state of the studio are excellent. I would book this location again on the next visit. However, the communication that happens through WhatsApp is rather slow. The key fob for the parking garage was not functioning properly and I got stuck in the garage for quite a while despite me trying to contact the owner. An effective and fast response would significantly increase peoples opinion of this property. Hopefully they can improve that in the future because other than that, it’s a very convenient and good location.

The property management team asked "refundable" safety deposit before I can check in, after I checked out and did everything they asked(dish washer, laundry), they never refund my safety deposit. I emailed them asking for the deposit and got no reply. Is this a scam?

Hører jeg ikke specifikt hvad “problemet” er ligger jeg hele teksten på Trustpilot incl jeres afvisning We recently stayed at GLOBALSTAY Toronto for one week, having booked a room for two people. I was already charged extra for the second guest — something I considered odd but accepted at the time. What followed was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I’ve had — and I say this having accumulated over 1,000 hotel nights in the past. First, we were provided with only one key. This created an absurd logistical nightmare. It made it impossible for one person to use the gym while the other went out, because the single key was required both to access the elevator and to lock the apartment door. When I requested a second key — a completely reasonable ask given that I booked for two guests — GLOBALSTAY demanded an additional charge. So in total, I was expected to pay extra twice simply so both guests could independently come and go from the room. That’s unacceptable, exploitative, and borders on absurd. The bed, allegedly meant for two, was a cramped 140 cm. The terrace doors and windows were disgustingly filthy, clearly not cleaned for quite some time — In short: DO NOT book GLOBALSTAY. This was a deeply disappointing, frustrating, and infuriating experience from start to finish. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere — anywhere else.
