I would stay here again. Very comfortable beds. Very helpful and professional staff. Very close to St Lawrence Market. If you walk, it is walking distance to many sites.

Location: in the heart of Toronto old town, walking distance to St. Lawrence Market , Distillery District, and Eaton Centre. Clean and modern guest room and friendly staffs, free continental breakfast is a bonus. We have a great stay!

The location is the best for a good value. Trolleys right out front of the hotel. The subway station entrance is less than a block away. Safeway tours to Niagara Falls is right out the front door at 9:15 a.m. Water in the front lobby for guests. Fine restaurant in house for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fine lounge with tv's. Rooms are a bit small for Americans. I.C.E. station south on Yonge a block for currency exchange. Walking distance to many tourist destinations. About as safe an area for college kids and families as you can find in a big city.
The distillery district is within walking distance.
The waterfront is also within walking distance. Yonge goes under the expressway for easier access to the south.
Just walk south on Yonge to access many tourist attractions, especially west for CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Rogers Center, etc. Hockey Hall of Fame.
Hockey Hall of Fame on Yonge is right in front of Union Station. UP to the right of the great hall was only 10 bucks for us on our presto card. avoid all the traffic this way. Cab right was $50 to our hotel. They accepted U.S. currency.
