This accommodation gives you the bare minimum of what you need for an overnight stay. We had neighbours who hogged the shared bathroom but that is no one else’s fault. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. You have to leave your shoes at the door which was unique to other hostels I’ve stayed in. Kitchen was available to us but we didn’t need it. Also definitely not an accessible space; stairs lead into the building and then to our room.

A room without a window

The room was clean, so was the shower. This is a basic hotel. Very decent for the price. The one thing that I didn't expect, the room lacked a window, which isn't announced in the listing.

The Kaisar Guest House is an extremely well situated little hostel. As long as you are aware that this is a 2-star establishment, and therefore do not expect much in terms of services or facilities, you’ll most likely be content with your stay. The Guest House is clean, the staff are nice, there is a convenient little kitchen with a fridge that guests can freely use, and the rooms are OK, if a little worn out. We enjoyed our stay, and while it is a little pricey for what it is, it’s still one of the cheapest options in the area, and the area is GREAT. I have no qualms with recommending this place for a short stay.

Lovely little place to stay in downtown Toronto! I’ve stayed here twice now. It’s very convenient and safe inside. The room I was in had everything I needed for my short stay and the staff are very nice. The area outside is a little sketchy with a church across the street that allows a large homeless encampment to stay there but just keep your head up and you’ll be fine. Other than that the area is great for food and shopping.
