The check in required a call or text or WhatsApp but I had trouble getting through. Check out also required a text to which I never received a response so I followed it up with a phone call. Only one key and fob for three guests was very inconvenient as we were often going separate ways. The gym requires a booking with the concierge and the pool was out of service. There was a day when only one of three elevators was working which made getting on and off the upper floors very time consuming, however, it was repaired the next day. The room was modern and clean and well equipped. The location has everything you need nearby. There are some sketchy people in the area and as a woman I would not walk alone after dark.

The space does not sleep 6 as advertised. The booking required ID and security deposit 4 days ahead. Multiple communication platforms were used rather than just one making the experience confusing. Access to both room and parking did not meet our expectation. We had booked a parking space in advance but on arrival when a staff eventually did respond they were not aware of our booking making our arrival more challenging. Customer service was very limited and not responsive on check in day. I would not stay again.

Easy check in and communication, 5-8 min walk from Dundas. Apartment was clean and well stocked. Grocery store near by. The overall apartment was smaller than anticipated and the den bed area just squeezed in a double bed. Great for a couple of nights stay in Toronto.

It was a bit of a rough check in, couldn’t find the lock box because it was not there and the room was still in progress of being cleaned. Communicating via WhatsApp was helpful and resulted in quick responses. We did lose wifi for a day and that too was resolved quickly. Would stay there again.

Communication with the staff was excellent, the room was clean, the bathroom was also clean, the only cons i would say is that you only get one key so it makes it difficult when you are multiple people that needs to do different activities, because you need the key to open the door of the room , close it and get on the elevator. But this system makes it also secure. But after that everything was great

I had a very disappointing stay at The Jarvis. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that the unit hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were dirty underwear behind the couch and children’s toys still under the bed—completely unacceptable. Speaking of the bed, it was broken and extremely uncomfortable, which made sleeping nearly impossible. It felt like no care was taken to prepare the space for new guests, and the overall cleanliness and maintenance were far below even basic standards. I expected much better, especially at this price point. I would not recommend staying here and certainly won’t be returning.

Expected better

First off, you only get ‘property details’ when it would be far more informative to receive room details because our room was nothing like we expected. On top of that, it claimed the secondary bed was a double sofa bed - no way you were getting two people on there. Arrived to find bed sheets in the dryer and they still had stains on them, as did the towels. Location was pretty good and useful to have fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing capabilities. Still had a great time in Toronto - great city with great transport links - but accommodation disappointing.
