The apartment is located in one of the oldest areas in Tours, behind the cathedral and 70 metres from the banks of the Loire River. We took the time to furnish this apartment as if we were going to live here ourselves. It’s a spacious, open-concept room with high ceilings, featuring a fireplace made of tuffeau stone—a local speciality—and three windows that let in plenty of natural light. We love this area, which feels like a “village” within the city; the atmosphere is peaceful and friendly.
Essential shops are just 30 metres away, as is a small weekly farmers’ market featuring local producers.
Parking in the area is no problem—and it’s free.
You can easily reach the very heart of the city on foot, by bus, or by bike to enjoy the livelier nightlife.
We’ll welcome you and recommend the city’s best spots, as well as our favourite cultural outings and attractions.
