The property is a real gem. A bit dated but don't let that put you off. Great location, amazing traditional breakfast, great little public bath and super nice staff. Just remember to take your shoes off before entering.

外湯チケット付でした。

平日の素泊まりだったためか、安い料金で泊まらせて頂きました。事前の知識なしで予約したのですが、部屋は広くて清潔感あふれ、ベッドも大きめで寛げました。チェックアウト日の午後まで利用できる外湯チケットまで付いて大満足です。 館内に電子レンジはなく、付近にはコンビニを含めお惣菜を売っているお店は少なかったです。

外湯巡りはとても良かったです ホテルについてはお部屋はきれいでしたが喫煙、禁煙の区別はないとのことで喫煙者の後には消臭するという対応だそうです 今回は煙草の匂いは気になりませんでした 朝ごはんはチェックインの際に15分きざみで提示された時間から選んだ時間にとることになっており、８時でお約束したのですが８時ちょうどに時間に遅れられるのは困りますと部屋に電話がかかってきました 約束したことは守るのがマナーだとは思いますが少しせわしなく感じました お部屋に案内してくださった女性はとても親切で感じが良かったです 城崎温泉街自体が全体に道幅が狭いですがホテルに入って行く道は更に狭いです ホテルにパーキングは何台分かあるようですが一泊２日で500円の有料でした (ご参考までに)

hidden gem in Kinosaki. it’s a relatively new establishment from the other older traditional ryokans. i recommend staying for 2 nights to fully enjoy all the facilities they have to offer. breakfast in the hotel is enjoyable as it’s traditional japanese. the rooms are big though the common bath is a little small. there is no bath in the rooms though the general idea is to enjoy the baths in the town. great place for family.

プライバシーと食事を重視する方にお薦め。

翠山壮に到着した時の第一印象は「　え〜、これマンション」でした。城崎の旅館の風情を求めている方には残念。（もともとは某大手電力会社の保養所とのこと）しかし内装は非常に清潔で部屋も2月でしたが暖かく快適でした。食事（蟹会席）は質量とも満足のいくものでした。外湯は何処も混雑していましたが、翠山壮の内湯は綺麗でゆっくり堪能出来ました。部屋はツインベッドでしたが、ホテル或はマンションの寝室の感じです。尚、食事は個室で頂けました。プライバシー重視の方にはお薦めであります。
