When we first booked, did not realize it was tied to cruise line and their ‘land tours’. Rooms were nice. Only drawback is that you can’t park close to room and no fridges. Resort seemed to have lots of walking paths and had outside games and fire pit/smores. Area did have a lot of mosquitoes when we were there Would have had great view of Denali, but cloudy.

When we arrived shortly before 3PM staff said check in time is 3 PM and our room was not yet ready. They proceeded to check us in anyway and told us we could enter the uncleaned room. We chose not to do so. We walked around the property for two hours until finally calling to find out if our room is ready and it was not. Ended up going to the front desk talking to the front desk manager and he was able to get us in a room after 20 more minutes. By then it was so late we had to postpone our dinner reservation. It was crazy busy at the restaurants. An extremely unpleasant experience although the property itself is pretty.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. Beautiful spot catering mostly to bus tours from Princess Cruise line but it was clean and comfortable and fine for what we need as outpost for accessing both Talkeetna and Denali park.
